Hello Gary, I fully agree on those LED fixtures. Last year we bought a brand new 2023 travel trailer that has those led light fixtures throughout the trailer. Well, the night before we left on our FIRST Vacation with this trailer, the bathroom light, above the sink/mirror, started blinking, turning off and spontaneously blinking again. We could not get it fixed quickly, so we had to depart without that light fixture working. The first night I was reading in the bed while by husband was watching tv, and the light above the bed started to blink…and went OUT!! However, every night there were 2-3 of those little bulbs in that light that would stay on all night, like little spies!! LED fixtures are definitely NOT the WAY of the FUTURE!!

Yep, my electrician tried to get me to put those in, I said how do I change the light out. He said you have to put a whole new fixture in. I said no I want the ones where I can change the light out.

Oh Ransom, Beagle puppies are so much fun. You just have to be careful, because if he's playing outside and catches a scent he'll be gone. So if you want to work on his training teach him to listen to you, to stop when you say, what leave it alone means, and to sit and stay. The momma and the pack will teach him to hunt.

I agree about the LED lights. We (all) were promised lower bills and we didn't really see the money saving....just the price increase of light fixtures and bulbs. And the bulbs do lose life and become dim before their life expectancy.

i live in Kenya. I have a 500f2 apartment. I pay here, 100-200+ a month for electricity depending on whether we run the ac or not during the hot days. The lowest I've seen it in 4 years is $88. The highest was $280. I can't wait to get back to the US.

My grandpa bred and raised American Fox Hounds. It was so neat to lay in bed at night and hear the dogs running way off in the hills. Come morning ever how many dogs he took and let loose, they were always home. That was a long time ago.

My daughter is a licensed electrician. She put all LD lights in our house her house and her husband's law office. So far so good. But all things break and some things last longer than others.

But you pay more because it’s supposed to last 15-20 years and only last 6-7 and you can’t just replace the lights you have to replace the whole fixture we should not be forced to use things we don’t want like our stove dishwasher and all the other things that they are eventually gonna force on us and my husband just reminded me we put a new fixture in our bathroom and I thought I was being smart I bought led bulbs thinking that they last forever and 2 weeks later I was putting makeup on and one of the bulbs exploded all over me scared the heck out of me I took them out and threw them away and put regular bulbs in so be careful with them Gary hope you’re dad is feeling better my son is having that done next week

We had led canister lights put in kitchen, bathrooms and hall in 2015. All are good still. Electricity bill has gone down, too. I don’t like when it goes out I have to replace the whole canister.

That Ransom is some little guy! I just love him like he’s my own! He’s quite the little worker! Even taking the feed store guys job! I pray all school kids have a great and fun school year! I had quite the experience helping an entire bus load of overheated kids on a school bus that was on the side of the road! A student on the bus passed out with heat exhaustion! I pulled over as well as other vehicles behind me and we pulled together waters from our vehicles and gave it to all those kids on the bus. The ambulance picked up the child who passed out. It was 101 degrees here in north Louisiana. Parents started picking up their children in their cars! It was pretty scary. So pray for our kids here in the south who went back to school. Our buses are not air conditioned! Perhaps it’s something our parish should do!

There are other problems with led lights. Excessive use during evening hours will cause our bodies to continue the production of Milano-sin making it harder to fall asleep naturally. They emit more blue light than incandescent bulbs. LEDs can lead to headaches, visual fatigue, migraines and ultimately to hormone disruption, because of stress on the hypothalamus/pituitary glands

Beagles are a treasure. I had one years ago when I was a kid. My uncle used his for deer hunting. Now, I have what some call a designer dog, but purely by accident , she is beagle and chihuahua. She looks like a tan and white beagle, with a white tip on her tail, she's smaller than a beagle, but her nose is amazing. She hunts rabbits all on her own. She began with Jack rabbits and ofcourse , these field rabbits don't stand a chance against her quickness. She catches them and brings them to me when she catches them. Its pretty funny her bringing the rabbit because they're bigger than she is. Glad she knows how to survive should she get loose.

Owned Beagles for almost 50 years, and beagles are some of the hardest dogs to train. Once they get loose and they get a scent they are gone. Be it squirrel, rabbit , Deer , or anything. The only ones that I had that stayed put were the old ones, they just wanted to sleep or eat. I really am looking forward to seeing the pup. My 2 right now are Mason-Dixon, Mason is 5 and Dixon is 8, Dixon will come back & Mason however when he gets out the race is on sometimes you have to get the truck to head him off.

I converted my chapel to LED's from compact florescent after ditching the incandescent. The 4 foot tubes have been 100% successful for the last 7 years without one burn out. We have had one High power parking lot units burn out but it's a hit and miss thing with the cheaper screw in units. I'm 100 % with you regarding the dedicated fixtures because stuff happens and thing break and the screw in are just so much simpler.
