​@@drizzle952You suppose that I'm calling for the complete ban of horse racing. Continuing to make fences on the Grand National course safer for horses and jockeys is sensible given the litany of death and injury over the years. Complaining that the course is now too safe is ghoulish in the extreme bordering on psychopathic tendencies. The contest nearly fell by the wayside in the recent past because watching horses break their necks or being shot behind a temporary barrier is not the spectacle you think it is or that will attract attendees to the race meets.

@@chloewilliams1112 Well, having watched the last National it is quite clear that they have turned it into a pathetic hurdle race. There was nothing "Grand" about it at all. In fact they have changed everything, including the distance, so drastically I'm surprised they haven't changed its' name...
