What people forget is that CJ also loses health when hungry, and keeping the game running for an IRL night is equivalent to CJ not eating for like, a month in game. So ofc he is in hospital XD. If anyone wants calculations : each irl minute is treated as an hour in game, so a GTA day ends up being 24min each. Assuming a night time of 8hrs irl, it equates to 480min of irl time (8hrs x 60minutes/hr). Dividing 480 by 24 gives us 20 days. So CJ is hungry for 20 days if someone left their game running overnight.

Yes he is incorrect. Every GTA game has a PSYCHOPATH but not a serial killer. What is most disturbing is the way it highlights the players psycopathy...I can remember being 25 years old playing gta 3 and Vice city and always looking for these spots where you could hold up and just assassinate cops all day get to 5 stars and they still could touch you. I would use drugs and just kill the spawned police all day using spawn codes to stay armed and healthy...I'd do it for hours, and I had no idea I was a psycopath,or displaying psycho tendencies. This was all before I found Jesus Christ buy I swear for days on end I wouldn't even play the game or do missions...just kill npcs. In liberty city there was a particular alley that would serve to protect you from 3 sides and above and the swat trucks couldn't get in. In vice city there was this tower I found after the mission "Phenom Penh" that you could get to the top of and it was incredibly hard for the cops to get you or kill you. You just do the spawn codes for health and gubs whenever you needed and couldn't be taken alive. Thank God I found Jesus Christ cause I'm glad I didn't turn out to be 1/10 that person I could have been. Anyways God bless you all.

Fun fact: The Eddie Low secret you talked about at 37:58 technically doesn't end there. In GTA 5, as Trevor if you stay in his Bodhi offroader while driving around in the desert, you can occasionally hear transcripts & conversations through the radio. One of these will have a truck driver named Eddie Low start talking, & after saying his name to the person on the other end they'll ask him if he's the serial killer Eddie Low, to which the man responds he isn't & that it's disrespectful to assume. They go back & forth a little longer. Honestly it was a pretty cool & very easy-to-miss thing they included to reference an already easy-to-miss side character in GTA 4. Edit: 1:13:32 this is NOT an Easter egg, although I don't blame you for thinking it is because it's the common assumption. This is actually a quite common bug with NPCs & raised balcony's or floors, for some reason the AI just bugs out & kills the NPC because it's not sure how the NPC can get down. You can see this exact thing with the second floor of a plaza in Vespucci across the street from a construction site, if you bump into the NPCs they die instantly & if you scare them they will run back & forth on the roof not knowing how to get down or what to do.

I do love how wacky their easter eggs get, like it's not just all predictable references like Scarface, the Godfather, but rather, weird crap like Aliens, ghosts, bigfoot, or strange locations like the beating heart in the Statue of Liberty. I also miss a lot of these older mysteries, as recent data miners who go through the files often take away a lot of the fun speculation, while saving a lot of time that you could have "Wasted" looking for it, there was just something cool about looking for it yourself, or hearing rumors from friends, made a game feel a lot larger than it was by trying to uncover secrets that most people might not know about. Now it's like "I swear I saw X while playing" then "Data miners dug through and its not real" just ends it.

@@nah456 Right? It's like if you're telling spooky stories with friends as you're younger like you saw a ghost or something, or heard about some haunted place, like with me and my friends it was the basement of our school, which honestly looked creepy as all hell. I remember us staring through the window and one of us would jump swearing they saw something so we all ran away. And like in games, Its just harmless fun and is something to do, some mystery to solve, something to have fun with friends trying to be brave and facing this weird thing you dont know. Maybe its real, maybe its not, but the answer isn't what the fun is about, the fun is going around yourself, or talking with friends as a little group and trying to solve it yourself, whether it ends up being fake it doesnt matter. It's kinda hard to do that when before you can even go looking you find out for a fact its fake, then its like why even bother looking or having that creepy thought in the back of your head while exploring places like the Woods in GTA, before proving it was false, you could sit there fairly confident its not real, but what if? and that question being all it took to add a layer to a game.

The suicidal npcs actually refer to various NPCs mainly a particular woman who has a mental breakdown upon being attacked and will say very dark things mainly indicating she wants to take her own life. The NPCs that fall off buildings and are often heard screaming are NPCs that spawned either ontop of a building and don't have proper pathing or they just simply fall through the map.

Its really weird that in the horses myth, vice city came out in october 2002, around the same time, November 2002, Rockstar acquired a studio called Angel studio, which were developers of red dead revolver, a game in which you definitely ride a horse. The timeline is so close to it actually possibly making sense.

Now that I think about it, that acquisition was very likely in the works for longer than a month, it's entirely possible that during vice city's production they were talking about red dead revolver's development as part of the process of acquiring said studio. That might be the explanation.

Rockstar Games could’ve taken the myths and put it to good use, maybe have a DLC surrounding myths, etc. in the GTA IV era, but ofc they wouldn’t, and I think it would be better this way. The Gator Keys in Vice City were meant to be a parody of the Florida Keys, which are a chain of islands that stretch out into the Gulf of Mexico from the state's southern coast, before being scrapped during development. IIRC they aren't swamp lands like the Everglades, so it's unlikely that Alligators or Crocodiles were ever going to be located there; it was just a name chosen due to Alligators being heavily associated with Florida.

The fact that San Andreas got such a reputation and community based around these occult, paranormal, supernatural events is really wild when you think about it. The game is largely, in tone and theme, a realistic gang based story grounded in the harsh reality of inner city gang warfare. The storied of the areas surrounding the city are really just a side story to that main series of events. But some of its biggest mysteries revolve around, entirely fabricated and audience generated, stories about ghosts, aliens and Bigfoot in the game. Arguably the biggest mystery is why people were so desperate to see all of these mysteries in San Andreas in the first place.

GTA Online has an Alien Costume - It’s the reward for finding all 10 Movie Props. I constantly run around in my alien costume and the reactions are pretty funny most the time. But my favorite Online Costume is the BigFoot costume. Because usually any lobby with multiple BigFoot Costumed Players group up and make for some interesting events that unfold lol.

Legit I believe I encountered Ratman in GTA IV. I was in the underground train station at a place with a bunch of intersections and tracks for different trains. There I heard noises of what sounded like a homeless guy. Now this part might be my memory being terrible, but I want to say I walked around for a while trying to track the noise down. Eventually I found this NPC and he started to run towards me, I ran away, and when I looked back he was gone. Then when I went back to the original location there were no more noises.

Bigfoot is also in a mission in GTA5 when you’re scouting with the thermal scope. I think you’re playing as Michael and Franklin’s on the ground. You can see Bigfoot with the thermal at one point.

I really wish many of these are real, since I love the feeling of mystery associated with cryptids and conspiracies. If they can’t be real irl, surely they could in a satirical game. Data mining is a double-edged sword; it can set facts right, but it can also kill the theorising and mysteries

I think the fun part about GTA SA myths is because especially with the a weird npc killed people can have so many different answers like how with the riot cheat active even once in a game can screw with NPCs even if it's disabled later on

So fun fact about Konstantinos! He's actually based and portrayed by a real occultist and neopagan writer named Konstantinos. He's been putting out occult books for almost 20 years. I grew up a dumb goth kid in the 90s/early 2000s, and his occult books were like, the coolest thing to pre-teen/teen me. He also used to pop up on Coast to Coast AM a decent amount when it was hosted by George Noory. He's honestly just a huge dork who really believes in the paranormal, or at least does a convincing job of selling that as a bit. His books are *not* good in the slightest but they're fun to poke fun at.

1:19:25 this actually happens on Halloween, or at least 2022 Halloween. You could take pictures of the UFOs for like 2000 dollars but if you were too close to the UFO it would cut the engine of your vehicle, which may or may not kill you lmao

1:35:48 Konstantinos is a real person, not just a character. In real life, he's a demonologist who also at least once gave an interview on the paranormal radio show, Coast To Coast AM. He was just putting on an act for the in-game radio show, but in real life, he seems to be pretty cool.

The Eddie Low Mystery from gta4 is bigger than people think.. This Mystery streches from gta4, through gta v to rdr2 because eddie low, the infinite killer from gtav and the serial killer from rdr2 are somehow releated.. nobody knows for sure if eddie low was born into a family of serial killers or if he was in a cult or something like this because they operate through generations.. this mystery is actually one of the biggest mysteries/easter eggs in the gta series because it goes really deep.. you can find clues, hints, smaller easter eggs, bodies and further discoveries all over liberty city, gta v's sanandreas and rdr2's game world i love all these Myths and secrets in gta.. Man i spend hours in the woods of Sanandreas searching Bigfoot and in the desert searching UFOs😂 I really miss those days man

One rumor/myth that I remember was from my cousin, how he talked about being able to go to space in san andreas with a spaceship. Also how, once you get high enough, you'd start gasping for air and losing health because of it. Due to not having a copy of san andreas, I wasn't able to test it out myself, though I'm sure it was either a mod or just a myth.

Kids back then would talk for hours and hours about GTA myths, secrets they saw, glitches, how fast they finished the game, etc. Kids nowadays talk about how much money they’ve spent in GTA online. Truly a transvestite compared to the good days of GTA. I can’t even grasp how heavily monetized GTA VI will be, and how these pseudo-gamers will excuse it.

This is what I loved about games when I was a kid, all the mysteries and rumors going around on forums before social media and data mining got massive. Everything had a mystique to it and wonder. Games like this or Shadow of the colossus come to mind when reminiscing about those days. We won't truly get those back.
