Among all of James May's professionalism, he did look like a really happy man there. And he had the right to be happy. It indeed was an honour to drive that car.

Wrong!! Neil Armstrong opted for a Stationwagon for the kids.....
@Ladco774 жыл бұрын
These were 1 year leases. They traded every year. Armstrong had multiple Corvettes, as well as the station wagon over the years.

Should be fully and properly restored. I don't care to see or know the misuse/damage done by the 2nd owner. That damage to the paint/interior didn't occur during Armstrong's one year (1967) of ownership. Partial restoration (in this case) makes no sense to me.

Any car can be restored, but they are only "original" once. There is value to keeping as much of the car original as possible - those original parts are the same ones used by Neil Armstrong. Do a complete nut and bolt frame off restoration and other than the VIN plate and frame, not much is left that Armstrong actually owned.

@Rusty Shackleford There's actually plenty of room for different approaches for varying ($) value. There's much value in taking the car back to original that doesn't involve resale.
