Thank you, Anna. I have been walking this one occasionally. It's the longest one in England (I think), running from Birmingham to London, every so often I go and do a bit more, I don't think I will ever reach London though, lol. Cheers Smithy, I love a canal walk. It's what started this channel, it was just canal walks at the beginning. I have covered most of the Birmingham and Black Country network now, just Shropshire Union and North Stratford Canal to do, I have just got in from my first North Stratford Canal walk so that's next but I will keep going back to this one from time to time as well, I Don't think I will make it to London though, Thank you for watching, All the best, Andy 👍

Walked the first mile of this section from Fosse Way Brige to Longhole Bridge in July 1999, while walking the long distance Centenary Way. No sign of HS2 then. There is a picture on Geograph of the workings of HS2 close to Longhole Bridge. The photographer says HS2 will cross the Grand Union canal here on a viaduct after leaving the tunnel under Long Ichington Wood. All the best, Peter.
