Nicely done tutorial. I purchased this piano yesterday and will say that it's the most emotive, full, warm grand piano I have yet seen....and I've been composing soundtracks for 26 years, so that's saying a lot for the Grandeur.

From the Komplete 10 Ultimate package I'd say the Grandeur is my favourite of all pianos supplied. I use it for everything, from Hip-hop to scores for film. I do use the other pianos when I seek a specific atmosphere/sound, but the Grandeur is the most versatile and my go-to instrument.

Hi Native Instruments Team, I’m absolutely thrilled and inspired with your gorgeous The Grandeur/Maverick/Gentleman MIDI pianos pack - though, there’s only one exception: I can’t activate left and middle pedals for Una Corda and Sostenuto, respectively. My gear: Studiologic SL88 Grand with the complementary SLP3-D pedal(s). I’ve completed the proper set-up procedure multiple times (and yes, I’ve double-checked for any silly mistakes people usually make, and was very thorough). I even have greatly puzzled the Studiologic Tech Support - and they couldn’t make all three pedals of SLP3-D device function with The Grandeur (only the basic, right sustain pedal worked okay), while all three performed fine with the other MIDI product when they tested SLP3-D pedal. I’m also not sure that REPEDALING and HALFPEDAL functions, that I activated in The Grandeur, either work as expected or work at all… Could you please help me solve the problem(s)? Because The Grandeur and 2 other pianos are the truly sophisticated product that should function… sophisticated. Thanks in advance, Gregory

Mark Bolton I agree too. Also too bad that customer support doesn't want to confirm or deny whether VST3 compatibility will be available in any new releases. They've lost another customer because of it. I will only upgrade my Komplete 9 when they implement the sidechain feature in Cubase properly, instead of forcing me to use quad channels and specialised routing.

@@ThePianoMan1953 You probably know the answer now, since your comment was made 10 months ago. But not really, Native Instruments VSTs doesn't really need a DAW, you mostly just use Kontakt. But you can bring Kontakt to DAWs like FL Studio. I will be buying this with 50$ and 5GB, this better be worth it!

No you only need the Kontakt Player, all presets are included in the Grandeur (Jazzy Grand etc.)

Thanks for posting this. I have problems with using the sustain pedal - or let's say: I have no clue how to activate the sustain pedal. Is a USB pedal needed or can it manually be activated via the plugin? I'd really appreciate if someone could help!

I also had the same problem. I ended up increasing the release time for this instrument in KONTAKT instrument configuration. This piano definitely shines up after adjusting the release time.

I'm not sure if this piano is not installing in your PC, or you have installed it already and just can't play it. If it's the latter, you might want to check in the instrument's settings if the MIDI channel is set to "omni". You can check this by clicking the info view button in your kontakt instrument.
