Hey Andy many thanks for this vlog, I understand that Roy Hudd resided over Crowfield way. The church looks lovely I will add it to my fav cycle route of churches out this way.

interesting stuff Andy, I shall have to look Roy up. Howbeautiful is that church though, bloody gorgeous.

With Roy Hudd, I think you have to be a little bit older than your good self mate to remember him. But he was very, very talented RSMF

It is beautiful but not used so much anymore. My Grandads grave is in the background of this footage and my Grandma joined him a few months ago, but we didn’t have the funeral itself in the church, only the actual burial.

Remember him well, always looking happy. Very funny guy. Just weird when you get a reminder that these guys are just human.

Great vid Andy. I’m amazed there’s no headstone there! I remember Roy vividly from the 60’s and 70’s. Decent bloke! 👍
@suffolkandy2 жыл бұрын
Thought it strange that there's no headstone, hopefully there will be. Or was it that he didn't want one? RSMF
@OutnumberedbykidsandcatsАй бұрын
@@suffolkandythere is now. My grandma was buried a few graves down from him with my Grandad a few months ago and he definitely has a headstone there now. Roy Hudd was a very charismatic man who joined our village and became a friend to us all. He didn’t get the big funeral due to Covid but my dad told me that everyone stood at the side of the road outside their own home to pay their respects to him and Debbie as the hearse came past.

Those of our generation and older remember him very well - a very funny and talented man. Didn't realise he had lived and was buried in Suffolk. As you say, a beautiful spot for it.

thought you gave up the vape Andy. There were so many great Actors/ Comedians etc from the past century - I don't think any of the current lot will be remembered with so much affection 🙂 current comedians can't say anything without offending someone, or anybody having an opinion either

Have to agree on all that you've said, comedians today have to work in a framework of wokeness. Not funny anymore RSMF

You know nothing about his family at all so maybe don’t comment on things you don’t know. Roy and his wife Debbie were much loved members of our village and she loved him immensely as did the rest of his family. He has a beautiful stone there now.
