So Jinty is a RWS character who was a one time visitor, some people choose to have him as a part of the NWR later in the timeline but some don’t; that’s why it’s a random chance of him showing up. A note about The Gravy Train is that it’s a luxury dining train and the name board is just for PR, for any railway goods/freight are the main money makers but the controllers recognized the power in appearances, especially for express passenger trains whether they were running daily or seasonal specials, so it’s all there to say that this is a fancy looking train. The script doesn’t say it but to those with steam engine knowledge, this is what was going on with Sodor Castle. You’re right at 9:14, it is a health thing, near the start of the video Jinty told Castle that it was his turn at the washout but Castle refused. Soot and ash usually just sits in the firebox but some of it travels up the tubes and out the funnel, but some of it gets stuck in the smokebox and the crew needs to shovel it out or it builds up and blocks the air that the fire is trying to draw in. Not receiving this thorough clean out of grime means his fire isn’t hot enough to make steam and the black smoke means that the water isn’t boiling and TFC gets mad at him for not taking care of himself.

@@thomastakenplay24 well yeah true but The Adventures Begin is an actual Thomas Movie and we all know the stupid rules KZbin copyright strike these days. I’m strongly requesting The Adventures Continue because 1 she hasn’t reacted to it yet & 2 it’s a fanmade sequel & adaptation of the show & books of what could of been if Mattel wasn’t an A**hole!
