Simplify it, bump steer is the relationship of the arc of the tie rod to the arc of the spindle during suspension compression and rebound.

good video. easy to understand managed to get 0.002in bump on 1in bump and compression surprised my Turd of a car even allowed for that low amount.

No, it doesn't help totally. Seems to me you would want to show what to do to get the bump steer measurements where you want them exactly. So I understand how to check it now but really not sure what to do from there to get it like I want it. So on to researching I go. Thanks I guess. On a dirt track, the left front is hardly ever on the ground.

Sure is or barley doing anything, but that's why its important, when you have to get off the throttle fast to avoid another car, and that wheel goes one way or another you will wreck. Bump steer is very important on dirt tracks because the wheels move 10" or more in travel,
