I play ace attorney with my brother, and we like to read the dialogue out which means the game always takes nearly twice as long… we did this whole case in one sitting, it took six hours, it was crazy and so complicated for a first case but we loved it!

Lol. My friends and I did that, and of course added in our own jokes as we went. So Ryonosuke and Kazuma were in a not-so-secret sexual relationship, Kazuma spoke in increasingly nonsensical similes which Rynosuke couldn't hope to match. Also gave Kazuma a badly dubbed samurai flick/Captain Kirk voice. Auchi, of course, was an oily and nasally sort of guy. And Iyesa Nosa shouted in drill sergeant through all his lines.

Well, if we look into Court Record during Case 4, we noticed that age of Soseki Natsume is 33. If we look into Wikipedia we can see that he was born in February 1867. Case 4 is happening later than his birthday, so that means that is year 1900 when TGAA1-2 taking place. (Excluding this - the first case - this happens in end of 1899) Interesting fact: 1900 is the last year of XIX century. Because AD. After 1 year BC is started 1 year of AD. So the first AD century is 1-100, second - 101-200… Eighteenth - 1701-1800 Nineteenth - 1801-1900 Twentieth - 1901-2000 So, as you can see it happens exactly one hundred year before Inherited Turnabout flashback(Case 3 of AAI2, that happens in the end of year 2000, an year before DL-6)

That point at 1:02:32 stands out to me as one of the finest and most subdued moments of character development I've seen in quite a while. Written works can get hung up on being needlessly wordy, and that goes double for visual novels. So here we have GAA, where its first case has Ryunosuke just fumbling through what he thinks the motions are in such a way that he definitely feels out-of-place compared to Kazuma or even Auchi. And the moment he's able to desk slam properly coincides with him taking his first real step into becoming a lawyer.

It’s really sweet seeing Kazuma wanting to help Ryunosuke, especially given he’d be running the risk of losing his chance to go to Britain (it’s even more sweet when you realize why Kazuma wanted to go to Britain and still ran the risk of throwing that away just to save his friend)

HUGE LATE GAME SPOILERS I felt the same way as ryunosuke when I saw Kazuma again. I thought that he also changed. That he wasn't the Kazuma that I knew and loved. But the moment he said that he didn't change, and that naruhodo just matured, it literally made so much sense to me. Because I thought, "of course! He doesn't need to hide his true intentions anymore!" Kazuma always wanted to go to Britain to avenge his father. And I love how the game presented it.

The telling the truth theme plays a total of 5 times I believe and all times it was fantastic, this is an excellent first case even though I will only lament the last part where it was obvious that the plates were switched and it took 1h well outside of the game to go over that part! Absolutely loves how firm and confident kazuma is and I can’t wait to see naruhodo grow to be a terror in court! At some point their mannerisms looked very much like wright/edgeworth in the flesh for obviously being their ancestors; also appreciate the detail with naruhodo’s glove on his left hand, we were not aware of this until he starts to look at ease and touching his chin to dig deeper into the case; the dilemma to keep watching or actually play it ahhh in any case this is great content!!

@@linusovery-smith4246 I liked the Engarde case but I've never seen this many comebacks by the antagonist in a regular AA game. It always makes the game feel unpredictable instead of a linear process of debunking contradictions
