The Great Books of Literature Podcast - Bleak House by Charles Dickens

The IPA’s “Great Books of Literature podcast” is a ten-part series with Andrew Bolt and John Roskam talking about their ten favourite books of literature.
In episode one, Andrew and John discuss Charles Dickens’ Bleak House, its themes and Dickens’ life and times.
Bleak House is held to be one of Dickens’s finest novels, containing one of the most vast, complex and engaging arrays of minor characters and sub-plots in his entire canon.
At the novel’s core is long-running litigation in England’s Court of Chancery, Jarndyce v Jarndyce, which has far-reaching consequences for all involved.

It may be that ESTHER reserves her love for those in need of love; she may not ‘exude’ self love, as she feels she is not in need of that sort of love... she is a rather strong, independent person making the best of her circumstances.

I think that outside socialism we could start by reforming the legal system. that's what made the difference between 19th century and today: creating minimum wage, making child labor illegal and so on.
