The Great Conjunction: Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius (Part One)

Today I have the first in a series of talks on Jupiter's upcoming conjunction with Saturn, in the sign of Aquarius. In this talk, I cover the timing of this transit, the difference between Saturn's signs of Capricorn and Aquarius, and what makes this conjunction so unique.

I just woke up from a dream where I was singing the song 99 Luft Ballons along the city streets with a bunch of trumpeters trailing behind me ( trumpeting the tune ). I was singing in a foreign language ( I'm an Aussie ) which I didn't recognise at the time ( as it so happy sometimes in dreams ) So I decided to look up the lyrics and found them really interesting ( German originally )with all going on in the world ... Always loved this song ( there's an 80s connection ) as was a teen back then, but didn't really pay attention to the meaning ... Thank you for your very interesting view of Jupiter Saturn conjunction approx every 20 years. I was born in 1960 with Jupiter Saturn conjunct in Capricorn. It seems very true that there was a big cultural/political shift both in 1981/82 and 2000/01. I moved country in these periods and maybe felt these shifts more intensively due to the changing circumstances of moving countries at the same time. I give you examples on mundane and personal level simultaneously. I grew up without TV in my early childhood, and even around 1980 we practically did not have much daytime TV. I moved to New York in 1982. The role of TV in American culture was fascinating, and MTV was a game changer. Music was so rich and innovative in so many ways. Moving to New York was a wild experience. Another important thing was the introduction of the first personal computer (PC) in 1981 and MS-DOS, Apple and Commodore 64 in 1982. I used the computer for the first time in 82 or 83, again in New York.

I find it interesting that the last time the Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions were in Earth signs c.1000-1200 there was the invention of the heavy plow & 3 field system in Europe (soils are heavier & wetter there) and that allowed for more food production & better fed people which led to population explosion & development of towns (though they took off a little later I think). Also during this time was the massive increase in building with stone, especially cathedrals, churches, municipal buildings, as well as a major growth in the textile industry. When the conjunctions happen in Air signs c.1186-1405 in Europe we see the flourishing of religious, philosophical, legal, and mathematical thought, as well as huge expansion in new universities & cathedral schools across Europe. There was also the development of clocks in Italy, I think, as well as reading glasses. I hope that helps!

Sting was my teacher in first school. St Paul's RC First School Cramlington Northumberland (been closed through two tier system but I live opposite St Paul's RC Church which was opposite to the school. School has just been pulled down). He was called Mr Sumner. Real name Gordon Sumner. He used to bring his little white dog to school with him. He left to get married & join a band but not The Police. He was even in the movie Quadrophenia as you will probably already know. He had brown hair & a beard then. I didn't recognise him until my sister pointed him out on the cover of their first big album when they became famous. I'm 52 now. I was only between 5-7 years old when he left (1973-1975) Love that they were your favourite band & I got a chance to state my claim to meeting someone famous. He came back to see us in St Peter's RC Middle School (still there but think it's called St Paul's & St Peter's now). I was 11 so it was back in 1979. I had bell's palsy at the time & had to wear sunglasses & couldn't talk properly with half my face paralysed so I never asked for his autograph like all my friends did One of the biggest regretsof my life lol. He didn't teach music but did play his guitar in assembly but he did take my class for music once with his guitar but it was just hymns mainly. One of my claims to fame lol

I heard a lot, the last 40 years, about the Kali-Yuga is ending, which happens every 260.000 year (I think?). Where 'the dark' makes place for the light, being: there is more 'energy' coming from the centre of the Galaxy, towards our solarsystem, so our DNA will be activating, so we will be more 'enlightend', conscious of our inner being, the cosmos, and more frequensies, more dimensions, these are big circles.

That we are going thru a major transition and moving into a new time is pretty patently obvious. Astrology adds a structure and tradition to the observations. Pros and cons to everything, and the cons of Aquarius that you mention (technocracy etc) are precisely why it is _so_ important that we focus our collective visioning on the peace-love-harmomy vibe during this present transitional time. Can it be called a kind of Dream Time? 2020 has certainly seemed to have that potential. Dream beautiful, people! Dream peace and abundance, balance and equality! It was in 1981 when the transcendental meditation groups in dc began the studies on how groups of meditators lowered crime and violence dramatically in urban areas despite other mitigating factors that usually raise violence being present ie- heat, poverty.... “Two time series transfer function studies that analyzed weekly data from metropolitan Washington, D.C. (1981-1983 and 1993), found reduced violent crime associated with the creation of large groups of TM-Sidhi program participants, the effect varying with the size of the group (each group was above the predicted threshold during the periods of the study;” I’m glad you mentioned this as I’ve been pondering this for AWHILE since I have nerve issues, and the Mayo Clinic’s chronic pain clinic I attended actively advises meditation to “rewire” the pain and trauma areas of the brain.... they also recently did a podcast on KZbin a month ago stating meditation increases immune system strength and spirituality, or a spiritual belief system does as well..... so I’m no astrologer🥰but I am taking a course.... but to me, what my intuitive feel is... Uranus seems like the nerves, and also the threads that attach us to all.... and with this in taurus I just feel like going up into the air of meditation, which has been known by our ancestors to heal bodies and minds, is now being acknowledged by mainstream science, working off the smaller studies of 1981, and probably before..., all I know is the University of Minnesota also last year opened a masters in integrated sciences using holistic healing practices... and models of Ayurveda, energy, yoga, etc. I’m wondering if this is relevant in anyone else’s mind ? And..... for someone who practiced in their teens & 20s, got science degrees and thought of this all as “kid stuff”... and then turned to meditation as a NEEDED lowering of cortisone levels..... (and was shocked and humbled when so much more happened) I’m just wondering if anyone else is seeing this cycle out? The physics is also VERY RELEVANT to supporting Buddhist and Yogi practices on an energy modality..... so to me, being very science but seeing these things come together WITH RESEARCH it’s really a gorgeous time.... I’m hoping the structure of Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius keeps this trend coming, it’s a good balance, with all the tech I feel, to go deeper into natural energies too.

I got a lot of Air in my natal chart and no Earth. I definitely don't like to be confined in anyway . I spend a lot of time outside and moving about. My journey of higher consciousness began with the DISC system of contrasts and comparisons of situational behaviors and relationships. My early meditation on the suit of Swords was- the Swords represent the minds attempt to pierce the world and inform it with it's insight. The Sword or metal energy is associated with the lungs and large intestine and is connected with receiving and releasing ( in and out breath) . YESSS - my partner and I pulled tarot cards earlier and they were all talking about the air, transformation, the east, the buddha, sangha (community) , and the double duality (yin & yang)... so prevalent in this video thank you! Also with being handed the baton - we started working at a charity house this year that was described to us as “Catholic anarchy” and we have been transforming it to work with the times , veering our Present focus to the children in this impoverished community (to get the the root of the issue and create slow but positive change). We still work with the homeless and low income people, but have incorporated light, color, joy, and play into what felt drab and tired... The High Middle Ages did see a rediscovery of the works of Aristotle through other thinkers, including Thomas Aquinas. All of this high thinking but filtered through religion makes me think of air trying to be contained into the structure/curriculum of the churches. Not a stable model in my mind. One other thing that sticks out is a desire/need for people to leave the cities and go back to the land/forests due to city downfalls. I disagree on the astro-theology being a new phenomenon. It is newly re-discovered but it actually dates back to Egypt and perhaps Lemuria or previous civilizations, it is also world wide in all the many ancients' myths, so I think your author is wrong. We have sun worship being uncovered every where. It was known by the Romans and early sects of christianity and Judaism...it is religion and all religions have their foundations in it. It was used for agriculture and navigation for thousands of years all across the globe and in every ancient culture including the Islanders. My 1st saturn return was literally Hell on Wheels for two years: two near death events like being physically being attacked and missed being hit by a car by inches. Lost a business, lost apartment and couldn't rent one on my own for 12 months because of being evicted. Hospitalized twice for a week each for an infection. Business was broken into and emptied by theives. New MGB kept cutting off while in motion; a major electrical short that they couldn't find, three months into this calamity term, I figured it was not me that caused the madness but karma from a different life time, which I may have (guessing) agreed to work out in this lifetime before birth. I think my return was an extreme one, but just in case you notice mini personal earthquakes on your path, rest assured, that it will pass. Good Luck.
