The sentence visited on Jerusalem was comparable to that which was visited on Sodom. Another city which used up its grace.

It was worst for Jerusalem because they had God walking among them for 34yrs, that's why Jesus said it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement.
