How much of a markup when 1000 rounds of various 12 gauge shots is going for 330 USD?

@Gene P. Thanks for watching and your comment. Before Covid-19 pandemic and civil disturbances; 1000 rounds of various 12 gauge practice ammo was $220-$240 at most online ammo sources. Now you were quoted $330. That’s about 38-50% higher than the old normal. Firearm sales are at record levels. More owners = increased demand for ammo. having cheapo russkie steel case ammo is far superior to throwing rocks. shot thousands of tula and wolf in a Modern sporting rifle with zero malfunctions.

The small pistol primer supply has completely dried up. A person would have better luck finding hens teeth.

@@jimwjohnq.public Indeed. Cannot find CCI #550 large pistol Magnum primers here in Anchorage, Alaska as I just recently started reloading .458 SOCOM as that round requires that to fire properly / accurately. Guess will use the CCI #500 large pistol primers instead...better than no primers at all!

Only plinking ammo is gone. Who uses 115 gr fmj in battle? U.S. millitary!!! And every other military Seems to be plenty of Speer Gold Dot and Hornandy Critical Duty and Federal Hst🤷‍♂️ everywhere!!

Save your spent brass, and try reloading for a money saving, and enjoyable hobby. You will never have to worry about an ammo shortage. Also you won’t see price gouging with reloading supplies.

Half Century Concealment , I just now subscribed. I see that you do have interesting videos. I relate to being too busy for another hobby. I’m getting old and my body is showing serious signs of wear and tear. So after giving-up a few strenuous hobbies, I decided to try reloading as now my only hobby. You have to watch that federal hst. Has a tendency to degrade much faster than typically found in ammunition. Don’t forget to cycle or test that at least once a year
