The Great Cream Tea Debate

This is the first in a series of excerpts from my two new books 'Knead to Know: A History of Baking' and 'The Philosophy of Puddings'.
This one is from Knead to Know and is all about the debate surrounding whether you should apply jam or cream first to the scone in your cream tea - one of life's big and important issues, I'm sure you'll agree.
