Dutch, thank you for being YOU, and for providing guidance daily to all - God bless! In my childhood I loved church & Bible school - and learned so much. I fell away from the church when it seemed that church had become a 'show place' to some people - wearing their fanciest clothing and judging everyone negatively, etc. Not for the reasons that I had been taught - seemed so hypocritical. My son went to a children's worship in our local community when he was young, but I had not found a real 'church' that practiced what it taught. Recently, I found a small church where the people of the church truly try to follow God's will - so wonderful! I knew my son believed in God, but he didn't have a lot of 'background' knowledge about faith and trust and all the other great blessings. I loved your Prodigal Son post and prayed for my son. Sooo, the other night I spoke to him about Christmas Eve held at my house every year. I told him that I wanted to attend the Christmas Eve service at church and that I would like to have our supper a little earlier this year then we (me, my son, my daughter-in-law, and our little princess) all go to the church service, then afterward we could just drive around and look at all the beautiful Christmas decorations. No hesitation at all, he said he'd like to do that - PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Regarding Christ’s willingness to give Himself for us - I think we have only an inkling of the enormity of the price He paid for us. We are aware of the awful suffering of the cross and the hours leading up to it, but I have often thought that in many ways His giving up His divinity, even for a time, and becoming human - leaving the immediacy of the glory and fellowship with the Father He had enjoyed since the Beginning, and confining Himself to human limitations - was a far greater price than we realize. Praise and thank him forever for that!!

Thank You Father that You continue to seek and save our prodigals. You are always rescuing that one lost lamb no matter how far he/she has wandered. You are not slack concerning Your promise, but are long-suffering toward us, not willing that ANY should perish but that ALL should come to repentance! Too many times we see our prodigals as hopeless because we have been hurt and dragged through so much pain….but You Father continue to see the purpose that You planted within them, and You will continue to pursue them before they self destruct. Faith is all I have left. It is truly the only armor against the enemy. Jesus give me guidance please. The devil is attacking me. These past three years have been difficult on me. As a single mom things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them especially now that I’m homeschooling them. People have put me down over my situation but God lifts me up! I suffered an heart attack two years ago and still battling lupus. Give me strength Lord as I constantly struggle to pay bills and constantly struggle to buy groceries for my children. BUT no matter what I face I will KEEP FAITH. Even though the devil wants me to give up. I will not! Jesus is King and I will serve him no matter my struggles.

God bless you and He will provide. Don’t be afraid to share your needs with your church. Find food banks that will give you food. I’m a senior in poor health and I would have starved if not for them! I raised my 6 year old grandson who was diagnosed with autism. My health doesn’t allow the strength to care for him anymore; my daughter and son-in-law had to take over and I had to move into senior housing. Lord you know this precious mother’s needs! Bring people into her path to help her find her way.

Thank you Papa Dutch for the encouragement. I have three grown daughters who walked with the Lord, one a leader in the church, the second a missionary who went to so many countries sharing the gospel, and another who was getting her footing as a Christian. All three are prodicals now. I am blown away by the deception that gripped these girls who were once on fire for God. You have encouraged me to continue the fight for them to come home again to God. I've been PRAYING several x's daily for my "prodigal" son and his wife and my precious 4 grandkids! One, 12 year old Liam, asked me, "Grandma, what is church like?". They are not allowed to go nor am I allowed to speak of the Lord. My son is angry... But his father (REALLY was never a dad ! Sad😢). My daughter took her life at 34. The last time I saw her alive was Thanksgiving 2017 at my son's home, which had been her home. This past Thanksgiving was AWFUL . My son railed on me and mocked me due to my strong beliefs. And THEN he brought up my daughter, and how she died. They have even cut me off from my grandkids and I told him NEVER to do this. So now I have no reason to continue seeing nor helping my son. Please pray and understand that I must take a stand not to allow him to abuse me anymore but require ONLY respect! Thank you!!

Thank you so much you help me to see that I need to ask her the heart of the Papa in this story because I was so hurt by them turning away, especially the youngest one. I now know and believe they will come home all of them even the one that’s hard to believe for. Nothing is too hard for God. He’s the one with the most tender heart, so we act out.
