A real eye-opener presentation of the great siege of Malta. A very powerful production with mind-blowing graphics. Simply breathtaking.

Great content! I don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers but I think you’re gonna get a ton! I love the integration of Google Maps showing the geography. I normally use google maps whenever I’m reading a military history book or watching a documentary because I’m a geography nerd so it’s great to see someone on KZbin finally using it to show a battle instead of just an animated map. St. Paul's Bay shown @5:40 is on the other side of the island. There are 2 bays there called Ġnejna and Ramla tal-Mixquqa (Golden Bay)

Yeah, that’s true. Thanks for pointing it out. Sources were a little vague on the landing site and I ended up trying to figure it out from paintings etc. But I definitely got the label wrong.

I love the visual representation, but missing key factors like dates and numbers of troops. I would love to see thoughts and motives of both attacker and defender.

Your videos look great - I have started making some like this but am still learning the video editing software. I was an intel officer in Afghanistan for a few years and loved using google earth over there and have a bunch of overlays. Do you have an email address I can reach out to? I'd love to share my overlays with you and get some advice.

Hey thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I wish you luck on your videos as well! You can send the overlays to the email I just published. Don't know if I can write it here but I'll try. mapokvist@gmail.com

The reason why the ottoman retreated was because they where scared that the relief force was the major one instead of the minor one so when the troops and they wet to siege mdina however the Maltese outsmarted them by firing out of range the ottoman where worried this ment that they had extra ammo to spare (which they didn't) meaning they got resuplied with ammo and troops and the army was too exousted to fight them and there moral was running low due to the death of dragut

El único que envió refuerzos de socorro a Malta fue el imperio español, que envió desde Sicilia soldados españoles e italianos. Haces ver como si los refuerzos eran malteses.

I meant to show them as on the side of the Knights, however you are right and I should have made it more clearly what nationality they were. Thanks for pointing this out.

TBF the island was apart of the Kingdom of Naples but with a feudal status of the knights and since the Kingdom of Naples was ruled by Spain you could consider it as being from the same side @@mapograph
