She initiated by making false accusations. Instead of feeling inferior and acting defensive, she could have simply agreed with his outlook and add to his point of view. Almost all institutional investors are holding back for the exact reasons he mentioned. So, simply agree with his statement. The false accusations about him hating Elon, and all this nonsense was completely unnecessary! Plus, she herself agreed with the institutional investors outlook on the company. She could have simply agreed that those exact reasons he mentioned are a major concern for insitititions but despite this, it may be compelling enough for risk-on long term retail investors. It’s that simple! Weiss is a high level professional who should be spoken to with respect. The complete disregarding of his very valid points and unnecessary low-blow on live television is of course enough to trigger someone. Now, could he have simply laughed and walked away? This is probably ideal. But this was not his fault. Diplomacy matters.

I think discounting the FSD right will allow more users to not only benefit from it but also to test it and to also continue to provide the data for the dojo computer. Robo taxi may not happen overnight but as soon as infrastructure begins to allow for it and safely, IE maybe dedicated lanes for robo taxis instead or rail systems for public transportation, maybe? Also, Tesla does not need subsidies, Tesla is all about efficiency and innovation, BYD is copy and be subsidized. BYD will not be profitable here in the US because the PRC will not be as motivated to subsidize it as much if built out of China, not to mention the heavy tariffs that BYD will have to absorb. That is why Tesla is establishing itself in Asia.

@BranislavB-hx9zy Just over a year ago, I bought Tesla at $112 and sold it for $236. I remember everyone telling me not to buy because it's going to $20... lol. I hope it keeps dropping so I can buy some shares again. Long-term Tesla has enormous upside.

Steve Weiss just buys Berkshire stock and crows about every other stock being overvalued. The sky for every other stock is always falling for this guy. He’s an old grumpy man and I don’t understand why CNBC keeps bringing him on.

When you point out instances that occurred years ago, such as Joe Rogan or going, private funding secured, does show scorn! Because since those occurrences, there have been many milestones and positive developments that overshadow his peeves

While I agree with you, Steve bringing up smoking a blunt on Joe Rogan as an example of why Elon shouldn't be trusted by those with fiduciary responsibility, does sound pretty personal. There' s no other reason that I can think of why anyone would bring that up. Steve Jobs was known to take psychedelics but all these guys likely have huge, long investments in Apple that are decades old.

Yes, lack of competition in the car market is why Tesla has succeeded so well. If only there were other companies making 425hp cars with a 0-60 under 4 seconds for $35k that drove themselves. Why hasn't GM or Ford built a car with 425hp that gets 100+mpg?
