I like the end result of the space marine's color. But you might as well just paint the model using the drybrush method then base coat, wash, then drybrush the details.

Its easy to make the wood planks able to bear the weight of a Space Marine! Just call them Durawood blanks. 😂

I never thought about painting a marine brown (Like rust) then doing the base colours roughly. The end result is really cool. Ive never done a diorama before so this gets the idea juices flowing
