Seiko is my most favourite brand. The most reliable and under-rated brand. I have customized this Samurai Blue Lagoon dial in customized samurai SRPB55 black watch case with cusn8 bronze shroud. It looks outstanding and unique.

Just to validate my purchase months and months ago, I look at positive reviews of watches I already own! Weirdo (me that is). I already owned the first STO Turtle edition when I ordered this one. Likes > the new bezel and seconds hand. With that being written you would have to pry the previous addition from my dead cold hands, the dial on that version along with hints of gun metal on bezel and crown are more pleasing to me...

Nice blue dial, no question about that, but personally I think that the Save the Ocean theme starts getting boring and I hope that the Volume 3 is the last one so that Seiko can move on to new themes (while they should continue the support of Cousteau‘s foundation). Epic intro and great video!

Watch out for the white paint on the bezel. My Great White Turtle has a few chips in the paint already,and it's been a few weeks. Nothing that makes it a deal breaker but something I'm watching carefully. Since the Samurai has much more of the white paint, something to be aware of I guess. I actually hope that mod companies come out with bezel inserts in this colorway because I'll get one immediately.

Nice eye catching dial, I have the PADI myself, also a special dial, Samurais are ideal for the guy with the larger wrist, and fairly priced

I really like these Great White Seikos. I had a Blue Lagoon Samurai and couldn't bond with it because of all the different tones of blue -- it made finding a blue rubber or nylon strap that matched properly very difficult. This one seems more cohesively-designed to me. They still probably look best on the bracelet as it keeps everything in stainless steel other than the dial and bezel. At any rate, I think they look smashing.

I have a Sami Padi and found to be to heavy on the bracelet... looked around and saw the Crafter Blue rubber strap, and could not unsee it. Looks amazing but It doesn't get alot of wrist time. Too sporty hard core diver now?

Great review! Loved the intro and your review and have subscribed. Love the intro with the sharks! On the second hand balance with the sharks tail, you can really see the resemblance to the sharks tails seen in the intro. I have the turtle with the sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel and candy bar cyclops, but I am now wanting to get the samurai. I never used to like the samurai and never watched any reviews of the samurai because of that. This stunning blue dial got me looking at the samurai with its sharp angles, and I have to say it completely changed my opinion of the samurai. I now like it so much, especially with this stunning blue dial that I’m hoping to buy one soon. I love that the samurai has a completely different bezel, indexes and monster hands, it gives it a completely different look whilst still looking familiar, and I don’t mind it having Hardlex crystal. So far I’ve found 4 different versions using the same dial, but it’s only the turtle that I’ve got and this samurai that I’m interested in.

@@mikeban3890 Super hard choice that's why I got them both! Lol I find myself reaching for the Samurai more though. I like the lines it has and feels more "solid". The turtle for me is more classy...idk if that helps.

I really dont know how you guys wear your watches so close to the hand with the crown stabbing into it. To me it just looks wrong and feels uncomfortable. I know people can do whatever they like but to me it's so restrictive and feels weird.
