One of the thing Bart Hanson always talks about is sizing up with your big hands on dynamic boards. When you had the 10’s on the the k/10/7 board I think on the flip you want to go more like 65 to start building a bigger pot. Not like your opponent is going to fold his flush or straight draws anyway. And unless he’s one of the few “good” players in the field he won’t notice that you have sized up.

I made the vlog yayyy! I think I misplayed my QJ hand, but it was nice meeting you norcal, i never 3 bet QJoff btw guys i only did it to make the vlog, and the reason i snapped river with the flush is cuz was way to pot committed I think that's where I messed up, bloating the pot too much, you live and you learn, can't wait to play with you again NorCal! Also, Jesus Christ I'm spastic asf with my chips, my hands seem fat asf Dx
@NorCal_Poker3 ай бұрын
I think you played it pretty good to be honest. Got me to put money in with the worst hand! And agree, the pot was way too big to fold river, I just got lucky! Nice playing & meeting you!

You did well because at the smaller stakes table, you’re more comfortable with making certain moves, you normally wouldn’t make at the 1/3 table. There are more skilled players at 1/3 than 1/2. There are those more skilled players that advantage of this so sometimes you have a few high skilled players on a 1/2 table. I’ve noticed personally that at Capital, I have to play with more caution than I have to at stones’ 1/2. More pros at Capital than at Stones.

I think in the pocket tens hand, sizing up is more important because the board is so draw heavy and you have the second nuts. You could feasibly put out a polarized pot/overpot bet with both your strong draws like QJs, AXc, as well as nutted hands like KK, TT, 66, and KT. Kx combos are likely to call and you might even get some strong flush draws to join since it can look super bluffy.

On the QT hand where you put V on Ax suited or a small pocket pair, I like the small bet. How many combos of Ax suited, that limp call, vs combos of pocket pairs. It's then a math problem where a 25% cbet is pos ev.

Really? In your pool the limp 3-bet is usually mid hands? Well, if you come to MGM NH in dc, don’t make that same read.. here the limp three bet is almost always aces, some times kings, very rarely Ak. Good players do realize this is the range for the pool and sometimes will do it with a wider range. But I would say 80-90% of players… it’s aces.
