​@MasterMagus8 hand traps exist as a way of allowing players to go second. Similarly board breakers do the same. Hand traps and board breakers are nothing new to yugioh. Raigeki is an old ass card and Maxx c (the best hand trap in the game) is from 2011. Lava golem isn't a new card either, and sphere mode is actually a God card.

@@tolkienblack I mean pure DM and DM support isn't really a limited archetype. You may not have options outside of DM but DM certainly has more options than running 3 eternal souls. Though I can understand why some newer DM players would want more than one for the fear of it being taken out, but honestly one is enough because you have so many ways to get it out, and can easily get it protected. DM has more options in it than a lot of other pure archetype decks.

FINALLY. an even standalone archetypes. not only that, both are quite wellknown as well. this probably the best wheel duel so far. in fact, our host seereax is unusually full of energy this time.

Dark Magicians just need a way to bring out DM Knight easier to be more competitive. Maybe another archetype exclusive monster or spell that gets rid of a lvl 7 or higher magician in your hand, or a continuous or regular trap that pitches a DM or DM Girl to the grave for a negate. Maybe ditch a spell to negate a spell, ditch a monster to negate a monster, etc… If it’s a trap/quick play that can be activated in your hand to negate that would be the best.

Val's editing always top tier . Loved those call backs to previous Sam's shenanigans and Coach(Nat) being disappointed in Sam 😂. Maybe seereax think if he brings Ebon High and Illusion that will be against the rule, since two of these cards didn't mention Dark Magician, well their effect mentions Normal Monster and Dark Spellcaster I think it's legal to bring these two, but I don't know if in the rule don't bring another archetype even that cards mention normal monster or dark monster or specific type, since Ebon High and Illusion part of Prophecy archetype.
