Amazing vid and love all the info on TSM's story but i thing that i noticed is were JHawk is decusing on whether a downed Reps was visible from SAF Position up high, reps would have been visible for SAF. If you go to 39:56 on the vid, hall has just finished off Dezignful and pay attention to were his death box lands (in between a bunch of small rocks on the flour) and a crack in the wall on the right as he dies and Hall goes for a swap. Once Hall comes back to revive reps u can see the wall were reps is at, has a shadow on the wall in a very specific spot and a small tringle part were there is light which he is being resed at. Take notes of all the little details on were reps is compared to the small surounding details, at 40:20 you can see all the same features as were reps is being revived, so in short SAF very well could have thirsted reps or even thirded TSM but might not have had vision at that exact moment.

Let's say SAF drop onto TSM in that final game, here's what they'll have to go against: ●Drop stunned (or whatever you call it) ●2 of the best controller players in APEX ● 1 of them behind knockdown shield I could easily see Alliance / NRG / OPTIC winning that 3rd party but not one of the weaker teams in the finals like SAF. Don't forget their decision to not drop made them go from 18 points with 5 kills to 34 points with 12 kills. SAF made the best decision for themselves and there's nothing wrong with that. If they drop and die they most likely would've gotten 17th or 18th place but they got 14th and an extra $3k

It's not even that. SAF probably doesn't drop in that situation even if they weren't split, knew it was TSM, and had absolute certainty to kill them. The issue for them was because it was game #8 too many teams are on match point that even the non-match point teams have to start playing for wins to force more games. Dropping down and abandoning their chance to valk ult from ultimate height with the potential for god spot just for 2 KP would have been pretty dumb. It would have left them in TSM's situation of walking in against Black Hand only without cat wall and horizon ult. Even their missed opportunity to 3rd TSM vs Black Hand kind of neglects that they weren't expecting their jets getting pulled nor did they know how much time they'd have in the air because of it. From their perspective they are watching the 3v3 start, the jets get pulled, and they immediately start focusing on other landing spots.

A lot of people talked and criticized SAF, but I think the one that really changed the last game was Enemy, from The Dojo. If he hadn't overextended, TSM and The Dojo would have a longer and close fight, and SAF would had jumped. SAF would have had to fight BlackHand, and because of its composition, BlackHand would have won; and we would have had a final fight between BlackHand and E6 (team eliminated by SAF) for first place (?).

That tiny footstep sound gave Hal the thought of someone being there and he backed up because of it, if he didn't hear it he would have died to Dojo in the open and they for sure would have all died to Dojo, losing them LAN.

One note about the SAF clip. The clip where you say it looks like TSM is pulling a revive I believe is actually the DOJO just fighting TSM. In the clip, you can see Hal's Triple take being fired at that spot from out of the cave. Also, there are 15 teams up still in that clip and I believe the DOJO die at 12th or 13th there. I just don't think SAF noticed the fight go down because they were looking at something else at the time.

Rewatching this again, the SAF topic just stands out more and more. They had so much time to impact this fight. They knew how many teams are on MP. Going to LAN means you want to win it. Going into this 3p could always mean you're eliminating a MP team. For me this was the most horrible decision all LAN and completely solidified them as the disappointment of the year for me.
