Yeshua was not crucified on friday. John says in John 19:31 that it was a HIGH DAY that drew near as Yeshua died on the cross. This means it was a feast day sabbath, not the weekly sabbath and therefore not a friday when he died. And yes, Yeshua was crucified on the 14th of the month Aviv, Passover day, well what is the 15th of Aviv according to Leviticus 23? The 15th is the first day of Unleavened Bread and it is a feast day sabbath. Yeshua died on wednesday, thursday was a feast day sabbath then friday the women bought spices then rested on shabbat, then took the spices to the tomb sunday morning only to discover He was already risen. I would think pastor Doug would know this, seeing he is Jewish, so why does he blindly ignore it? The reason why this matters is because Yeshua did not rise on sunday, but He rose on the sabbath day. The antichrist wants you to believe Yeshua rose on sunday so they can justify changing the sabbath to sunday. They say, Well Jesus rose on sunday so now sunday is the Lord's day! But Jesus said the Son of Man is Lord even of the sabbath day, not sunday. Daniel prophesied in Daniel 9:27 kjv Messiah would die "in the midst of the week". The only day that is in the midst of the week is wednesday! It is a scandal, the antichrist has deceived you to believe Jesus rose on sunday, and to believe sunday is the new sabbath, but no, Yeshua rose on sabbath!! How do you get 3 days and 3 nights from friday afternoon to early sunday morning? You dont!!! Jesus said He would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights!! I love Doug, he's a great pastor. No one should doubt his commitment. But he is incorrect about the crucifixion happening on Friday. That is just another of the Roman heresies. Jesus' statement in Matthew 12:40 that he would be buried "three days and three nights" requires a Wednesday execution. The confusion comes from the fact that there were two Sabbaths that week, with the first Sabbath starting on Wednesday evening after the execution, the Sabbath which marked the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, which was a high day or high annual Sabbath. Such error is the natural outcome of disregarding the sacredness of the holy days of Creator.
