Since you've finished your first run, i will say, bloodfiends arm charged heavy deals 2 hits of bleed, and with high arc and blood infusion, that can be a hit of over 450 bleed buildup in one hit. its absurd.

going in at 150 with a build like that is crazy, I too wanted to wield most stuff and so went in with 50 vig, 30 mind, strength, faith and arcane, 45 dex and int. Avoided using blessing early on out of fear it would get too easy but later on had to grind to 60 vig and still had moments where oneshots happened to ended up using blessing after all. 10/10 dlc though so far.

i beat rellana with claymore r2s, which is super similar to the milady r2 and piercing fang. i think that midrange poke is a good punish to her attack chains. annoying ass boss to learn but really cool once you know it

That's been my experience with the dlc as a whole. The bosses are much harder to learn, but also far more fun to fight once learned.

Not sure if this is still relevant as you may have found out already, but Rellana's 5 projectiles attack she does after phase transition can be avoided easily by getting some distance, then just running to either side and jumping the first horizontal projectile. 2nd horizontal projectile will go over your head, so you completely avoid that tight double roll. You need a little more distance if you run to the right due to the angle of the first 2 projectiles so I prefer left but either works.

Very very difficult yes, but I don’t think she’s over tuned, I took me a couple hours to beat her solo with milady, she has many punish opportunities, small but they are there, best times are after her magic attacks to stay close and punish, and just focus jumping attacks and charge when you can for the stagger was level 125 and 5 Scadu tree fragments

@@Ar17778 I think my biggest issue was with her 2nd phase multi hit ranged attack and her Phalanx blades under certain conditions. She would sometimes throw both overhead and underhand Phalanx swords and follow up with the melee. Felt like no roll timing existed. First phase felt really nice. Also made it a bit hard using only 40 vigor with black knife set.

@@karambit6508 you can dodge those multi ranged attacks and on the last one start running at her and punish is what I did, and you mean when she has like 8 of them coming at you? A well timed roll got me through all of those and then another roll behind her to punish, she never follows up after the phalanx, and my brother 40 vigor? I’m pretty sure a trash mob could one shot you in the dlc lol

@@Ar17778 so far I havent been having much issue vigor wise. Im pretty confident at not getting hit and any chip damage is typically restored from crit backstab talisman. Just bosses really making me have to play pretty perfect. Also this is a faith dex build so stagger is a bit lower and I was using dual daggers haha. I have since switched weapons and have beaten Rellana. Those backhand blades are sick. Fang and impal thrust were a little too cheesy for my liking.

I enjoy watching Aggy, but the chat stream almost makes this unwatchable. So many idiots backseating, spoiling, or crowing about how they beat x boss in x amount of attempts. Who f***ing cares? How quickly you beat a boss for the first time says very little about your skill. Some people like the challenge of actually learning a boss rather than finding ways to nuke it. ​@day7163 It only feels difficult until you pick up a few scadutree fragments. Then it's just the right amount of challenging. The dlc area map is the best open world map design in all of elden ring. I'd recommend it for the world design alone. Discovering all areas of the map felt really rewarding.

@@SirRockXIII bosses mostly, finished every side boss and main boss, they are horribly designed (some of them at least), this isn't really a matter of skill, mesmer seems like the only "fair boss" with the most fair move set, lion is by far probably the worst designed moveset boss aside the final boss. SPOILERS, Midra seems to be a really good one but he feels rushed and like he's missing a phase, avatar is very painfully average overall, Rellana is close to good, but she has very bad moves like several combos with no gaps (some will be discovered eventually ig) and her moon attack true combos with is wild considering unlike a grab you have to dodge it 3 times. The music and visuals are amazing, but the bosses seem to have been visuals first, gameplay second to the devs. The map feels super empty at times, with exploration in some areas being very unrewarding unlike the main game where everywhere was filled with cool upgrade items and cool weapons and armor. The scaling is pretty overtuned and relies on you have almost max blessings to feel like this is the difficulty you're supposed to play at, otherwise normal enemies just do too much dmg. Even fighting agains Gaius it required frame perfect dodge for the charge and his whole body is a hitbox on that lol. Oh also the fire basket giants were a horrible idea, not fun to take down at all. Theres plenty of problems. I can speak all day about the final fight too, the dlc was fun overall but many things were bad design choices.
