Aces are always nice. My first was at Poppy Hills #11 174 6 iron ! Next day at Pebble I hit a full 9 iron on #7 into the wind, one bounce and in. Paying for drinks brought me back to earth. Should add it was in October 1991, I was 41 and played almost everyday planning to turn pro at 50. Injured my back at work in 98 resulting in full disability and no more golf. Happened May 5th ! The week before I shot my third sub 70 score in a row in amateur tournament play. God I miss playing! I’ll be 72 next month, haven’t played in almost 25 years.
