Brett, you’re a real G for transcribing this. I have a video on my channel playing this solo…somewhat poorly, I’m going to get your transcript and get back to work. Amazing job man!

I love the Bradford Executive solo, but this is also very cool. Anyone have a copy of his birth certificate BTW?

"The best of" in an vast ocean of options and amazing guitar solos recorded.. it's an impossible to determine, a dumb and unsatisfactory quest. BUT this solo of Holdsworth it's unbelievable! Allan artistry, skill and complex musical concept is perfectly performed here. Just fantastic! Love the tone, love the scales, melodies and ornaments. Out of this earth.

I've been amazed by Allan's playing and compositions for 25 years now, and I'm still just as impressed as the first time. it's just another level...

Best ever recorded? Without question, in my opinion. It's made me sob many times. I know every note by heart. The absolute most transcendent piece of music.

Hard to say which solo of Alan's is the greatest, this one definitely ranks up there.

"Obsession" on Jack Bruce's album A Question of Time. Guest solo from Holdsworth That's the one. Short, sweet, and hits the spot.

In this world it seems otherworldly. Certainly one of his greatest solos. So fortunate to have seem him live a few times and speak with him having a beer once.

I saw him 6 times but was too shy to go up and speak to him. Which is annoying on reflextion. Probably my only chance ever to speak to a genius. Plus he's been my hero for 46 years

@@Truthinshredding1 It's mostly made me want to quit, but I still can't put it down. I've gotten better than I ever thought possible after 8 years of listening to Holdsworth daily, but at the same time, I fully realize I'll never come close to approaching anything in the same realm as Low Levels. It's a slippery slope.

nah, dawg. Bradford Executive is the quintessential long solo. This solo isn't even in my top ten of allan solos. it's very meandering, you can hear him searching for notes as he plays. in his best solos, it's pure intuition, no thinking. the piano solo on this song is superlative tho

So you think it's another Holdsworth solo? If it isn't, the only other acceptable answer among electric guitarists is a Beck Shawn Lane McLaughlin Metheny Hendrix solo... nobody else!
