Theres a lot of people doing their own Fan Versions of the Hardcore Series. However some of the series itself suffers from being too short. so keep this in mind. For those to recommend to Start at, I would say the Following: Boiled Peanuts Minecraft 3 Funcore Minecraft 3 UHC EPICore (Season 2) Super Epicore (Season 3) Corona Trials Pandorah Mental Madness Hardcore Jack Xiao Long Starbound HC Very Bigcore (This one is one hell of a ride) Terraria Randomcore Zombie Apocolypse Elementcore #1 Onelife (Minecraft HC Season 2) Ozzcore Minecraft #1 Goldenbrawler Minecraft S2 / Terraria S2 Architects Minecraft Season 1 (Vanilla) & 3 (Improved Mobs HC) Astrophobia (Astra MC HC 3) Minecraft Statue Quest Terraria Death Wish Simoz MC 2 (Although be warned as this might be a bit too much on the intensity) Nova Quest MC Hardcore Scorched Kittens Revolt Kashino's Calamity Hardcore I think these series provide a good place to start watching Fan Hardcores, while at the same time also providing in the Entertainment department as a lot of Fan Hardcores either has Entertainment but are insanely short. or suffers from a lack of Entertainment.

I miss Dean... Season 4 is my personal favorite, but moreso as a comfort series. Come to think of it, I do realize there's far fewer deaths and - in correlation - fewer exciting moments. But perhaps for that very reason, whenever I'm feeling stressed and just want something to lay down and smile about, season 4 is my go-to; it's a bit more toned-down, but it's got all the hallmarks of a great Hardcore series

Absolutely mystified by how little views this has, even for a niche like Hardcore. PBG Hardcore 5 is and always will be a masterpiece that really struck the right tune for the ‘return’ of series so well, even if Hardcore, both PBG & most of the fans ones from back in the day, seems to be dead for good nowadays. Overall, great breakdown all around with the editing and the many references in the script. 🔥🪦🔥

As someone who grew up with this series since the "Adventure to Minecraft Hell" video (proto-HC to me), Season 7 is my absolute favorite. It's tense, depressing, a roller coaster of emotions. Crazy how a non-scripted show could pull that off so perfectly. When Jeff screamed "It's not a repeat, it's not a repeat!" I got chills the first time I watched it. While a show just for laughs like the pre-Todd era is nice, but the reason why consume art is to *feel* something, instead of just "haha Dean died again what a scrub". This series is undoubtedly art and the Todd era managed to give me that. Season 7 was the first time I felt sad watching Dean's death instead of laughing my ass off like I usually did.

After watching this video to the end, I now know that I had this video sitting in my Watch Later for _way_ too long. I've been a fan of PBG starting back when PB&Jeff was still a thing (which I used to watch religiously, if I recall correctly), but aside from seeing one part here and there of a Hardcore season, I never actually watched any all of the way through. Now, after hearing what you had to say about it, I'm very willing to check it out, even if I'm not the biggest fan of _Minecraft_ like I used to be. Thanks for making this video, even though it's unlike your other _TWEWY_ videos. It may not have as many views as most of your other videos, but those who've watched it most likely enjoyed it just as much as I did. :-)

Subbed for TWEWY and KH now I'm getting hardcore content. I didn't find out about hardcore till midway through 5 and since then I've been obsessed with it watching almost every season multiple times. 5 is easily my favorite season I think it's a good mix between what people like from the pre-todd stuff and the current stuff but for me personally after terraria 3 the show kinda lost some of the magic. I still have fun watching the show but not nearly as much. The divide on the community really started to become apparent after MC6 and Starbound. I don't like either season all that much but the controversy around the totem looking back was so blown out of proportion and with Starbound the fact that it takes till halfway through the season for someone to finally die only for almost every death afterwards to be to fall damage and alot of people didn't like Jesse which I thought was always weird because he was pretty much JonTron 2.0. Nowadays due to me not enjoying the show as much and the content drought I usually stick to fan hardcore's nowadays. Though I am kinda a observer to most of the fan hardcore community it seems alot more chill then the wider fan base. It's a shame we probably won't get another season for a while at this rate because I really liked normalboots MCHC1. As someone who has made and is making my own fan hardcore it is definitely hard having to plan,schedule and edit it. While it's not the best hardcore stuff not by a Longshot or I am still learning so I can eventually make a hardcore on the level of the many fan hardcore's. If you want some more pbg hardcore style stuff I recommend you watch boiled peanuts hardcore at least Minecraft 5 that is a legitimate masterpiece, Simoz Minecraft 2 and Super Epicore. Those are my top 3 fan hardcore's. Its feels kinda weird writing that much over some minecraft series but it's been with me for so damn long I couldn't help it. Great video as always.

5:23 - As someone who used to be a member of the PBG HC Discord server, I can attest to this. That place was one of the most negative spaces I'd seen on Discord, full of people who knew the games that PBG and crew were playing better than PBG and crew, and criticizing all their mistakes, as if that wasn't part of HC's charm. Almost no one had anything positive to say about anything, even if it was unrelated to the HCs. I ask for some advice regarding making a compilation of Spanish Flea moments from PBGGameplay? Somebody tells me the Spanish Flea moments are "overrated." I quote a KZbin comment criticizing Jeff's reasoning behind not reviving McJones in MC HC #6, an instance where I was actually joining in on the negativity? Somebody says that the commenter "can suck a fat one" (paraphrased) and zeros in on a part of the comment that was beside the point. I just couldn't take it anymore. The only subject they seemed chill about were their own fan HCs, which, as you can probably imagine, were far less mistake-ridden than PBG's and, as a result, far more boring (imo).

Talking about the style change after Todd. The series matured, some of the audience didn't. You can see if you watch all the hardcore stuff they did, they learned how to make a fun serie into a good serie. I'm still hoping for more these days, but I'm afraid it will take like 5 more years before they will even think about doing another one. After Jared's thing and later Jirard's thing, it feels like they are scared of the name Normal Boots. Lee is working more at Game Theory, so also no more Madness... All these great shows, gone...

Season 5 is also my favorite and Season 7 is my second favorite lol. Personally though i would start With Minecraft 1. Its a classic, introduces the cast and format well, and is overall just a great season.

The main issue i feel people had with todd's editing was the pacing, it was fine for the minecraft seasons but terraria and starbound it felt insanely slow and boring until the the latter half of the seasons.
