There is a lot of imagination involved due to the limited conveyance of its universe. As Players we hardly have a chance to connect with the cardboard limited NPCs and shortlived events, instead the emotional attachment we gain is through experiencing the only long-term companions (in-game), the music.

Truthfully speaking, the new music hasn't been on par with these old gen songs...there is a reason why the Red Trainer Battle Theme is the most famous Pokemon song in existence

Ah,johto.it seems that lately to enjoy the 3d pokemon games I have to kinda sit there and soak it up.but whenever I'm playing pokemon soulsilver the feeling comes in like the flow of a river.the feeling of immense nostalgia,the feeling that I myself am sucked into the game and unaware of my real world surroundings.I love how johto's music can go from calming to exciting so easily.I know I'll share these wonderful memories with my children I'm the far future,and buy them the games that molded my imagination.

False Fudge Yeah you said it dude. Johto was the height of Pokemon for me. everything after SILVER and GOLD kinda just lost the magic. It was a fantastic way to open the video. And throw you back hard to those days when the only thing you had to do was sit in the grass and trade or battle with the neighborhood kids.

Considering you're talking about Soulsilver and i'm talking about the real Silver back in 2000-2001, technically it's the same game so yeah i guess i would agree. it's all in the perspective. glad to hear you were able to enjoy it too though!
