I can only imagine 50 years from now, we'll all be old people who sit around all day, but when we hear these songs, its childhood all over again. That feeling of joy that you got when you turned on your GameBoy Color is unlike anything else. For me at least, it was a time of ultimate freedom, without obligation or responsibility. A time when I could just sit down and mess around on a 2.5 inch screen.

i wasnt even born until 2002 lol. my first pokemon game was emerald my brother had it and he let me play it in like 2008 or 2009. then i got fire red at a gamestop in like 2010. got heart gold and diamond from gamestop and slackers in 2011 bc my brother got a 3DS and let me use his regular DS. then bought black in december 2011 from walmart when it was somewhat new and holy shit it was amazing and i got white 2 for christmas in 2012 and it was even more amazing! even though 2009-2013 doesnt seem distant from 2017 it feels like a hell of a long time ago to me so pokemon games (that i played) give me a lot of nostalgia, especially diamond, black, and white 2 bc i remember them the most and they are some of the best pokemon games made in my opinion

The first one almost made me cry. I REALLY need to get back into the Pokemon anime. So much nostalgia; so many great memories. I love this franchise. I stopped watching during Galactic Battles (anyone remember that?) but I might start from the beginning again. I recently started watching Pokemon Origins so I'm definitely in the mood! (While playing route 10) Everytime I succumb to my darkness that lies within my heart and my depression...I feel so lost. And the worst part is: I acknowledge it as a part of my live now. Its something that I accept after long years. While writing this comment, tears fall down my face. But...Somehow...after hearing this music....this compilation or pokemon overall...it seems to disappear strongly for that moment. I always hope that it will completey disappear out of my heart some day, maybe something is missing on how I can succeed. Nevertheless, this music calms me down...I never experienced something like that with any other soundtrack...

I'm not a genwunner, I really like the other pokemon games and designs and still get them today but red, blue, yellow and the first season of pokemon will forever hold a special place in my heart. I grew up with the games, watched the episodes. It was just something so special at the time.Getting your first starter or Pikachu in yellow was something you never forgot and watching ash at the start of his journey with misty and brock was just amazing. Seeing the pokemon come to life in the anime was awesome. My love for pokemon has just grown from there and with each new game its just gotten better but being at the start, when pokemon first grew into something, was just something you had to experience!
