I did know it actually. I read it in a Prisoner Cell Block H book that I have. Val Lehman's daughter who played Debbie Smith was called Cassie Lehman xxxx

@@natvan29 exactly I’m fuming with this result!!! Fergusons character was only at its peak moment when Bea was there, as we hated her but she was such a great villain, she was okay when Myra was there too and still a good villain but when Rita came Ferguson became a lot softer and her character was becoming more boring! It usually is the villain that everyone remembers but in this show it’s always Bea smith, like when I spoke to my Nan and asked if she’s watched it and she said ye do you remember Bea smith and Frankie Doyle etc. Ferguson isn’t as remembered as some people think, not here in the uk anyway!! Bea deserved that first spot especially since she didn’t even get a good send off the women were told about her death and that was it she was gone and the prisoners, Meg and Anne didn’t even seem too upset!! Ferguson got a real send off the show finished with her finally leaving, getting taken down and walking away from the prison to be locked up!! I think Bea should have been number 1, then Lizzie birdsworth as number 2, and then Ferguson as number 3!!even Marie was more of a villain than Ferguson was as she threatened Fergusons godson Shane and he’s a child. I’m actually not happy with this decision I feel like public should have been given a say and voted for the best characters as I can guarantee you it would’ve been close but Bea would’ve won it easily!!!!

​@@joecasey1176well Said. Bea should have definitely been number one. I think the freak hung around too long till her character whimpered past her sell by date. She would had better impact staying for a year or two and viewers seeing her comeuppance sooner with a big showdown with Bea or Myra.

@@crevrath7374 definitely! Beas last scene the women didn’t even seem that emotional apart from Lizzie. The reason villains are so good is because they’re usually only in it for a short while and eventually get taken down so they come in with a bang and go out with a bang and cause chaos right the way through, even Marie went out with a bigger bang than Ferguson she escaped and jumped on that helicopter 🚁 and for someone who’s very clever and been working at wentworth for ages Ferguson was taken down really easily and the plan weren’t even that clever. Bea had better ideas than Rita but they didn’t work even val Lehman asked for her character to kill the freak when she leaves and they said no, now that would’ve been something worth watching! The freak had already been there for 113 episodes when Bea left so she’d been there a while and could’ve left the show too, yes it means they loose 2 big characters but it would’ve been a scene no one would forget if Bea killed Ferguson, we loved when she killed Nola. Bea wasn’t just a badass with a caring side she also had her funny moments quite a lot of them especially with Lizzie Doreen and Judy whereas Ferguson was serious all of the time. They made us think Bea would be returning too but she didn’t, it would’ve been a good time for her to return when Reb became top dog or maybe just before the seige as she’s smart. She definitely made an impact on the show tho she was an amazing character!!
