Plitiitical correctness (gone mad). In Prisoner men for example can't cook (apart from Paul Ried & his son). I can cook and I can fight, even though I don't look it, but I have spent years cycling, swimming & boxing training. I'm not scared of a lady Monies size & I have met trained women my size who could eat me for breakfast I am much smaller than both Monnies from Prisoner , smaller or similar size to many of the women in Prisoner & certinly Fred. I'm 5'4 1/2 inch tall & trim, no pregancy (looking down to check).

@@Galactusz007 I stuffed up. I meant both Furgasons Monnie & The Freak. Maggie does a good job & even though she's serious, you can tell she has a sense of humor. I liked the printing teacher (Marney) from 1982, but best of all Ray Meager playing the crazy man Jeff Butler.

Thought Monnie was Bea's best sidekick. The pair were wild and unpredictable like you'd expect the top chicks inside to be. Judy was a more well developed character however not quite as much fun to watch teamed up with Bea. Lesley Baker had to leave the show due to caring for her disabled son. A real shame - they should have given her a cameo as Monnie in 83 'rather than re-introducing her as Tinkerbell.
