Maul originally was a sycophant like her. Absolute devotion with no ambition to overthrow the master. It wasn't until Filoni that he became a Sith Lord that had those ambitions. I never got into the comics, so its good to learn about these Sith.

I am glad you covered this character. People are never realizing that Darth Talon came up in an Era where all of our fellow soldiers had no less than a level of a Darth Maul and she was a level above all of them in the offensive fighting arts . 🫡

This is why Krayt’s sith was both so powerful and yet so weak. He spent years forming and designing his sith rule of one around himself. Believing in its enduring purpose but he did not plan for it to continue without him. That is why Talon’s strength was also her failing. Krayt should have trained her to be his successor but like all sith who struggled to hold their power he died.

Even though the majority of the One Sith remnants were wiped out by Darth Wredd's machinations, I don't think Darth Talon, Darth Nihl, and Darth Maladi were among them. Due to this, were the Sith truly extinct or were individuals like Darth Talon hiding in the shadows and rebuilding the Sith anew just as Darth Krayt did a century earlier?

The Yorik coral lightsaber hilt is really cool. I kinda wish we could have something like that from one of the lightsaber makers. I also really want Darth Nihl's long handled one. His lightsaber is why I always liked long habdled weapons and when given the choice of what East Asian swords I wanted to learn I chose the Nagamaki.

As Legacy is one of my favorite Star Wars eras, im usually very fond of Darth Talon, though, and I don't think that there is a good way to say this, one of my favorite things about her is that, as this video says, she understands her place, and is accepting of that. And of course, the things done to her to get her to thst place were horrific, but as someone who personally often seems to lack much ambition, I can appreciate the characters who basically are just a cog in the machine, but can see that, understand it, and even accept it. Ambition can carry us to fatastical heights, but we can't all be the best, and I appreciate characters who don't just let their ambition ruin everything, as the Sith, in this case often do. It's nice, on occasion, to have a minion that is simply content to be a minion, and not worry about climning the rungs.

Setting aside Palpatines taking on Vader as his apprentice (and subsequent failure of/betrayal by Vader), on the surface Krayts and Palpatines philosophies seem similar. So what are the biggest differences between the two and what would Palpatine think of Krayt and his sith?

If Talon was alive during the reign of the Empire then she would’ve been the perfect Sith apprentice to Sidious as he was always looking for unyielding loyalty, similar to Mara Jade yet even she yielded to Luke. Though knowing the doctrine of the Banite System as Sidious was under he would’ve also wanted a Sith Apprentice to have ambitious hence why Sidious was disgusted by Mother Talzin as she had no ambitious except to her own NightSisters.

Even as bad as Disney wrecked this Franchise Maul DID still manage to rise well beyond what he started as. Despite how he ended when forced to go it alone he DID manage to do pretty good. Taking control of if memory serves several of THE Factions of what they did, coming to control his own criminal Empire for a time an then going an even growning his power enough to require one of THE Sith of the Franchise feeling nothing short of HIS PERSONAL attention would be adequate enough to handle him. She sounds like could been the PERFECT Sith High Lord herself IF she'd had or developed any kinda drive or ambition to match. Perhaps after Krayte was finally taken down and out. ATM though dunno bout anyone else but I was getting a lot of female Maul vibes that OR sensed MAYBE an eventual plan might've been to in time have her pull some kinda Ventress an live long enough as one of THE Villains of her time but being good enough an smart enough for one she eventually goes an turns into a wild card or maybe even get some measure of redemption arc could been the eventual plan for her.. but those are just some my personal thoughts, opinions or theories. If she's Krayte Era i don't know her well as others

I would like to see more canon stories based significantly distant in time from the era of Palpatine and the Skywalkers. Almost all the new series are based within a mere fifty years, and the Acolyte was in a supremely boring era. I would like to see some Old Republic or '100 years later' stories, eventually... To be frank, Disney tries to pack way too much stuff into a mere half-century when they have ten thousand years of history to work with...
