I loved how in the finale ep we are shown that Asta is more than just with Anti-magic, it's because he trained and has persevered through it all he's able to accomplish the things he's able to do. It's not only Anti-magic its everything combined that made Asta who he is.

@@Azrialt a movie was confirmed for next year and the current arc ended in the manga. There are 331 chapters and rhe creator said the manga was going in hiatus for 3 months and then he was coming back for the finale arc. So I can see the anime getting 2 maybe 4 more seasons in the near future if they stick to normal seasonal. 2024 or 2025 I can see the anime coming back.

THEORY: After Liebe was sealed in the Grimoire, nobody knows what happened to Licita. We know that she was "mortally wounded", but there are no witnesses and no confirmation of her "death". I think she sealed herself into the Grimoire as well, but not her body, only her soul, and her magic followed the soul. The swords are only able to be taken into the Grimoire after they are imbued with anti-magic, because it erases all the mana the sword contained. This is the magic of Licita: sealing something with very little mana, or no mana at all, into a container. So, Asta actually has two abilities: sealing into the grimoire and anti-magic. And if Licita really has been sealed into the grimoire, then Nero's sealing ability might be able to bring her back out or at least detect that she has been sealed into the grimoire. The manga is currently on a 3 month break. So, I've had some time to think about theories. 🤷‍♂

Very late but just so you know, the grimoire that asta has is lichts previous grimoire that turned into a five leaf clover grimoire due to the hatred and stuff that turned it into one , which allows a devil to be inside the grimoire which is what that zagred devil was trying to do but failed. That grimoire that asta has now which was lichts like I said before was a sword magic grimoire which is obviously the magic that licht had, hence why they talked about that being his swords. Then liebe was put inside and once he obtained anti magic, any sword that goes into that grimoire becomes an anti magic sword, so technically speaking the grimoire is still sword magic but with liebe and anti magic in their it just makes the swords anti magic which allowed asta to be able to acquire the grimoire because he has no magic.

Yo guys just remember one thing, I see no one mentioning this, but remember when first devil ( word magic ) used that purple thing spell that steals life from what ever it touches, well Asta jumped in it to save Mimosa but nothing happened to him, my theory is that he has NO LIFE FORCE, and that is why he has no mana and regular grimoire, both mana and grimoires are connected to persons soul ( life force ), this could have happened in his mothers womb, she stole his life force but the life found the way, just like Liebe had no mana and Lichtia couldnt steal his life force. Next thing is that people in this show get power boost from determination, but people like Liebe who have no magic or life force got their power from hate and despair, just like Asta got Lichts grimoire when he felt despair in first ep.

I would agree with this but its been stated that mana and life force are not connected the most rational thing to think is just that when having asta she sucked all of his mana away and when he was born had no mana, and licita (asta's mom) obviously thought he would have magic so she got rid of him because she wouldn't be able to raise him well while sucking away all his mana

Life energy and mana are intertwined in this world, the Spade soldiers said as much in Ep. 158 when they were using peasants as fuel for that mobile fortress before Asta came and take them all out. It's intertwined for everything and everyone... EXCEPT for Asta, the Witch Queen herself said a sudden mutation kept mana from dwelling within his body. Asta is probably the only person (on that continent at least) who's life energy is divorced from mana. Remember those purple worm/maggoty looking things that the Word Soul Devil summoned at the end of the Elf arc? How they got Yami's arm and Yami was saying how they absorbed mana and life energy from him? Yet when a giant pile of them landed on Asta they had ZERO effect on him? Proof that poor Licita probably didn't need to give Asta up to protect him only she had no way to know that. Asta's whole thing is about there is nothing at all special about him and that's what makes him special, so while it makes sense that Licita could be part of House Legolant just like Henry it's more likely someone slapped that horrific curse onto her after she got knocked up with Asta. Lastly at this point in the story my questions are why the hell is it that Asta and Liebe appear to be the same age, look somewhat alike and both have zero mana? How the hell did Licita come across Licht's grimoire when Secre/Nero was supposed to be watching over it and then how did that book go from that field who knows how far from the Hage to being hidden behind that wall of stones that Asta was pinned up against by Revchi back in Ep. 1 (the manga clearly shows the grimoire coming out from behind the stone wall by pushing a stone block out of it's way).

At the end of the series I noticed something yuno and asta switched roles at the end with their captains. Even though both captains were captured, Yuno wasn't strong enough to help his captain fight the demon while asta was strong enough to fight alongside his captain. Even if Yuno got there on time to help his captain I don't think it would have made a difference.

17:57 personally wouldn't want Asta to be a part of royalty or a royal line "directly" as the one of the main theme/ ideas that this show has brought is that no matter what you can make it anywhere no matter the status, Asta is trying to prove that. Having Asta directly tied to a royal line makes it have less value to me at least, not outright hating on it but would be a bit disappointed by it. I'm not saying nothing is up with Asta because with him and Liebe looking similar to one another makes me think more of akin to devil/curse shenanigans were happening as they do look similar. Granted the author might have done it just show the parallel of the two which works but you have two people in the respective world born with no magic, it just makes me think something more is there with them.

The Original Owner of the 5-Leaf Clover Grimoire is Licht (when it was a 4-Leaf). Considering we see Asta unintentionally adding a new Swords in his Grimoire (aka., Yami's Katana), the question raises as to whether Licht owned those 3 Blades from the beginning, or did he travel around to acquire them in someway.

@@KronezSinphyton Well, from what i know, Devil's need a 5-Leaf Clover Grimoire (not sure about the requirement for other Kingdom's Grimoires) to use their inherent Magic at full power in the normal World, meaning they can use another person's Grimoire to use their own magic by using it as a medium. My guess is that, since Liebe was sealed inside the Grimoire itself, his Anti-Magic mana affected the Sword Magic in Licht's Grimoire, and rather than use it as a medium, it fused with it. Only Licht (the original owner of the Grimoire) could counter the Anti-Magic and use his Sword Magic as intended.

I have a theory for Asta's father that I have been thinking about for awhile since seeing the ending. It has to be someone strong enough to even withstand his mom's life force stealing powers. What if his father is actually Julius Novachrono. It has been stated his power works by stealing people's time. So he could theoretically withstand the mom's power.
