I've got his book "Trails Plowed Under." That was printed just after his death with the forward written by Will Rogers That I picked up when I was a young teenager in the 60's. I used to live on the Chief Joseph Ranch just out of Darby, MT. Some of his paintings depicted areas not real far from there. I knew an old man in his90's when I was about 16 (I'm 67) in Idaho who claimed his Grandfather was a friend and worked with Charlie Russell. Russell is still my favorite artist ahead of Remington.

He is still the Greatest artist. God put Nancy and Charlie together. So he could help paint the skies. Nancy kept him focused.

I have a painting of his, very dirty and coated with tobacco tar and nicotine. How do you clean it? Where in Wisconsin could I get it appraised? Apparently it’s Indian hunter’s return?

@@TodaysWildWest I’ll give it shot! The wife of a custom gun maker gave it to me as payment for carpentry work.

Is it original? M Mom years ago had some original damaged art work and the big art museum in Minneapolis dd a great professional restoration. If you have an original Russell it could be worth a milliobn ollars or more... If you are near Minneapolis contact the big Art Museum there new.artsmia.org/

@@TodaysWildWest well I have no idea if it’s original. I’ve had it several years stored in a closet. But I decided I should look into it. Thanks for your input.

Who had the brilliant idea of switching narrators every sentence? Soo annoying for an otherwise very good video 🙄
