Another detail, the Love contract is very beneficial and the "55 million a year" is misleading. Love's cap hit is something like 20 million this year, 25 mil next, and 30 after that. Theres a big spike to 78 million that next year but thats already been pegged as a restructure year and it would be when Love and the Packers woukd be discussing his next extension

Since the 2010-11 Super Bowl win, the Packers are 5-4 in the playoffs at home and 3-6 in the playoffs as the away team. They're 0-5 vs the 49ers in the playoffs and 8-5 vs all other teams in the playoffs. The Packers have won their last 5 home playoff games vs non-49er teams. So they are an elite home playoff team if they can avoid their kryptonite in the 49ers.

This is a team that has potential to be very good, but I think is also being extremely overhyped. The Packers had a very good second half, but still had a lot of concerns. There were games that season where the team literally refused to score points in the first half, Love did throw multiple game losing interceptions in big moments, and their defense made the Lions' look like the Browns' (they Panthers nearly outscored them in their winning streak and Baker Mayfield played perfectly against them). Are these issues resolved or are they going to reoccur. I think the Packers will be good, but I think the Lions have the more complete and talented team and will win the Division.

Interesting wall behind you with Love for the Vikings as in Jefferson and then Love for the Texans in J.J. Watt who is also a Wisconsin protege but I am struggling to see the connection you have with these 2 players! Your take on Green Bay is spot on and we have a rookie, Kevin King, who is likely to be on the 53 mid season and Stokes looks like he's made huge strides at CB but time will tell. We also don't know how Hafley will run the defense yet, will he show man and drop to zone or zone and go to man or just play a simple straight up game where everyone is assignment sure and let downs are on each players shoulders.

I just rewatched their divisional game against the 49ers. GB left 6 points on the field unscored due to a questionable 4th down attempt and a missed FG. These opportunities and the unfortunate bobble into INT were bad luck opportunity chances that didn’t go their way, and these moments were the main reasons they didn’t advance. Bad luck doesn’t last forever. And a west coast team or an indoor team definitely doesn’t want to see this team at Lambeau in January.

I'm being bold when I say that Love will break records, but not the other players, and it's not even their fault, because Love will spread the Love around. I have Love throwing over 5k+ yards with 48 TD passes, and not 1 skill position player will have more than 6 TD catches, or more than 700 receiving yards because of how Love will spread it around. I have ~3600 of those passing yards spread around between the main 6, being Watson, Doubs, Reed, Wicks, Musgrave, and Kraft. The rest will have ~200 each for the RB's, Melton, Heath, and Sims. This team has a lot of depth offensively and there is a team mindset instead of a FF mindset, so I don't expect the main 6 to be on the field all the time regardless of health status (hence Melton, Heath, and even Sims having over 200 receiving yards for the season). My ceiling is 15-2 with home field advantage, the only 2 losses coming from an AFC south team and @Detroit. Love plays 16/17 games for the RIGHT reasons (sitting the final weekend), meaning he will literally throw 3 TD passes a game. As for the defense I can only hope we get a top 16 finish, I'm tired of them being in the 20's... I don't want to ask for a #1 overall defense cuz that's too much pressure, just be top 16 and that alone gives the Packers a huge opportunity to win. Btw, while I agree with the sentiment of having a good pass rush compensates for any secondary, I want everyone to think about that. Imo, Secondary is the most important position on any defense, why? They force turnovers and incomplete passes. Pass rushes will never 100% hit home no matter how good they are or how they lineup, you can get a sack and force a down and long, and the offense still gets a chance to make up for it on the next down instead of giving up. Nothing beats a top tier secondary so I hope they step up this year.

The 1st 23 minutes of kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJrMfGVni998ldE shows the Bears' o-linesmen actively running away from blocks. While the narrator says each of those plays occur multiple times implicating it is due to play-calling I doubt they continue using the same plays next year with Williams. They aren't trying to move on from him. Yet. As for "coaching strategies" another thing I don't expect them to do is find ones that double the offensive output (weeks 8-10 of '22) then return to ones proven to halve that. Of course, it's because I don't think that they *can switch* to plays that double their O. See, for Getsy to be responsible for the _bad plays_ we'd have to believe that Eberflus 1) is a better offensive play-caller than him despite having never called offense before & 2) at the same time is So Blind he didn't notice Getsy sneaking the bad plays onto the field in front of his eyes for a Full Year. 3) of course is this was All Intentional to have an excuse to move on from Fields & he _can call_ good offense, which is a possibility. The 3 weeks came right on the heels of Fields calling him out publicly after weeks of media hounding him about his questionable play-calls. All of that stopped, then so did the good plays. So while this doesn't mean he _can call_ good plays, it doesn't mean he can't either.

The Packers are for me a prime example of why you play the games and can't just judge/rate teams on paper. On paper, I think the Packers are overhyped. It is a very solid and deep roster with few true holes, but there isn't really anything that sticks out as exceptional unless you buy into a guy or two having that breakout season. That's where I struggle with the Packers. With Jordan Love, I'm expecting something of an in-between of what we saw during the front and back ends of the season. He's going to be a fine QB and a true breakout would not surprise me, but too many people are acting like it's a foregone conclusion that it's going to happen. Love settling into that back end/honorable mention of the top 10 tier debate is my expectation and honestly not a bad place to be. As for the rest of the team, I see a lot of solid, but little in the way of exceptional. I don't see much in the way of true difference makers on this team. That all being said, they are still a soild team that is well coached and is among the best teams in the league in playing with a chip on their shoulder and punching above their weight class. A 10-11 season with a Wild Card berth is my expectation for the regular season, but once it's playoff time, if there is a team that can start clicking, get hot, and make a serious dark horse Super Bowl run, it's the Packers. Much as that wouldn't surprise me, a Divisional Round loss is my personal expectation

Jayden Reed didn't come up AT ALL (until fantasy predictions which are ridiculous and don't matter in any way with reality) and that's a major fail. No one should sleep on him. As far as the Miners game, the defense was outstanding despite Joe Barry. If Carlson made the PAT, the Miners are down four after the INT and must score a TD to win rather than a FG to force OT, and the Packers had them stopped (as they did well through the whole game). That missed PAT was THE key in the loss, otherwise GB beats DET in the NFCCG and goes to the SB to face KC, who they already beat convincingly 2 months before. The Pack WILL make the NFCCG this season, likely the SB. GPG
