So far with my Vking I’ve hit 89.9 with a stock 225 black max chrome bore with super advanced timing and a sharp cut 22 et prop 3/4” above the pad running a mix of 93 and aviation gas. Love these ol streams!!! 🤙

Awesome video. I absolutely love the hydrostream vectors. I miss mine. My last boat was a YT haul super fun boat super easy to drive. I hope to someday run into you on the river. This video was in my neck of the woods I live in Palatka. I spend a lot of time at the renegades. Hope to meet you someday and get a chance to check out your awesome boat thanks for the videos.

That look like entirely too much fun. Obviously some serious work on that motor. That's a great hobby. Looks expensive but fun.

why a chopper prop and not a cleaver. Hydrostreams like transom lift not bow lift. I had a chopper on mine and it ran 86 mph at 6200 rpm, I put a 31 inch cleaver on it and it ran 94 mph at 6500 rpm and was a whole lot more stable. Vikings are better than Vectors because theyre faster and more stable at speed. Howard Pipkorn used the Vector to make the Viking by adding 8 inches behind the windshield and removing 2 of the strakes in the rear giving it increased speed. It was the fastest boats out there until the Al Stoker came out with the SST (Stoker Sport Tunnel) in 1980 which was an air suspension hull design. The Vector was 1st produced in 1975 when the 150 tower of power was the biggest outboard available. To make the Vector handle at speed you need to cut the hook out of the bottom and make it flat. A job that may or may not work depending on who does it and how much hook is removed. I have a whole lot of experience with Hydrostreams, Aquasports, makos, and prolines and Ive ripped the floor out of them all and rebuilt them. Have fun, you wont forget it ever.
