The Challenger is such a beast at 5.3. Super mobile, high RoF and fast turret traverse speed. You generally want to use AP for the damage and APDS for range or when you can’t pen otherwise.

Tho the strugle is real with that reverse speed, like how can you go a 50km/h easely but cant go over 5 km/h to retreat

Omg. Yea. The reverse speed is a pain... @kimjanek646 I'm using APDS for front engagements from now on and Solid AP for sideshots. For some weird reason, sideshots using APDS only cause the tank to catch fire

I dunno why but I hated playing against 5.3 britain while grinding the german tech tree because all my time spent learning how to angle meant fuck all when apds pens everything everywhere. and now that I have it, I think it's awful.

I use the apds all the time and i dont mind. Yeah honestly the 5.3 british line up is so good both the challenger and the comet are so good. Im playing 6.3 rn grinding 7.7 and that lineup is also rather incredible. The centurion and the Charioteer are so goated

It's a little rough that you start with an AP shell for some of the 7.7 tanks (especially the cent mk3). But besides that, the Caernarvon and the Conq are definitely recommended. And the APDS means that you don't have to go for too many weak spots.

For a good long while I thought Britain suffers because they have to rely on ammo with no HE filler. Then I played the T34 and the T92 (with sabot) and realized that no, Gaijin just hates Great Britain.

Always love seeing videos where people complain about AP/APDS performance but they aim at the worst possible spots on enemy tanks. You can always tell APHE reliant's from them aiming into hollow space between turret crews and Drivers lol.

Yep. This is me coming from tanks that mainly use APHE and went to Britain to grind. Shooting the one place that usually one hit kills stuff only for it to burn the enemy will drive anyone nuts. I think I'm having APHE brainrot
