Use c stick and dash at the same time to instant dash attack.

You input toward the direction you want to dash attack with the control stick, and then directly after, input the c-stick in that same direction. This is called an instant dash attack, and it's very useful in many more facets of the game than just in combos, instant dash attacks are actually the primary use of dash attacks. The timing takes a bit of practice but you'll get it! 😄
