It's saying that each of us are sometimes a little overly impressed with the things we do and poking fun at that in a creative way. Most people who have heard the song see the humor in it and think the song and video are great. Only when this video made it to the front of KZbin did I started to notice negative comments. I think that's saying something right there. I think it's hilarious that someone would call me a mainstream rapper!

I've written plenty a verse against corrupt governments, unjust systems as well motivational pieces to make people who are down feel inspired. I'm almost known to be a "blue coller" rapper. There top that! (get it.) By the way Eligh loves the song Artsy, Clean Nikes has nothing to do with Nikes, I know Artsier is not a word, and I'm probably one of the least cocky rap artists you'll ever meet. Come out to a show, I spend time with my fans at every one of them. Thank you. Peace. The Grouch

Thank you for that (sarcasm). Anyone who knows anything about my career knows that I've been an independent artist my whole career (13+ years). I come from the very forward thinking San Francisco Bay Area. I happen to drive a vehicle that runs on 100% vegetable oil, practice yoga and have written a number of positive songs about women.I have no problem with trendy lesbian dreadlocked thespians. Dare I say it, they do exist.

Since before that, the point is that fashion doesn't necessarily define how "artsy" one is. At the same time a "hipster" can be unique and innovative, but some are just trendy and in it to look the part.

so dope.. at first i thought he was saying that all that stuff wasn't cool lol.. but then i realized that hes just saying that people do certain things just for an artsy image.. and i thought he was saying that HES more artsy than everyone but then i realized that hes saying what hes saying, that other people aren't any more artsy then him just because of things they do for the image.. not as confusing as i just made it out to be...

I totally agree. I think anything can be labeled art, even if someone doesn't interact with it in the same way. Drawings and ideas that came from Leonardo Da Vince for example, were viewed as crazy talk in their era. We now look upon the trials and reflections of people past and progress from their manner of thinking to improve or define something new.
