The benefits of not living in a place with hobby stores is that you don’t have a backlog because you have to wait for them to arrive one by one

I’ve discovered a technique to resolved my own backlog (I’m not sure if it works for others but it did for me). Inspired by people who played chess, where they only make a move once a day. Each day they just move a single piece. I set a dedicated table to assemble the gunpla, have a runner stand (just a triangle made from hard paper and with cutout slices-enough to placed a runner). Each gaps is clearly labeled according to the runner. Laid out the manual guide and leave it open. Each steps = A day (must be less than 10 minutes since I’m too busy/ tired). Each steps= 1 or 2 cut outs from the runner, and placed exactly on the guide (so that we know what piece it is). Repeat this until the entire step in a page is completed. Than began sanding each cutoff - according to the steps. It might take longer to sand some cutout parts, so you can’t move to the next step until it’s done. It’s shouldn’t be more than a minute (for me). The next day began assembling. Repeat the entire process again for the next page until the kit is done. It’s like a snowball effect where it began with each small step. The goal is to reduced backlog, and less on perfection.

I’m doing the opposite train trip in June for Brickworld Chicago Lego convention. Never really been to Chicago and first train trip for me.

Dude, since you said P-Bandai 30MM, you gotta snag the Alto X777 Corps, too! For the 30MM main line, go get the Baskyrotto. Very machine-like!

Dang last backlog video is wasn’t even close to my backlog now it’s a similar size. I blame mine thanks to P-Bandai having so many great kits. Or entertainment earth constantly having stupid deals.

I have no backlog right now - I find myself currently pretty satisfied with my gunpla collection and have built a lot of the kits/suits I wanted - still a few out there I want to get but not in a rush. Bandai needs to make a MG Geara Zulu though, I need that...

I have a huge backlog of Hot Toys, Bandai, and P-Bandai kits. I have 2 PG kits and 4 PG add on/expansion kits. I have 16 RG kits. I have 18 MG kits and 2 MG expansion kits. I have more than 70 HG kits. And I have 5 SD kits and 9 SD expansion kits. I have 20 Flame Toys Transformers kits and 2 G.I. Joe kits from Flame Toys as well. Some of my PG expansion sets are P-Bandai. All of my MG expansion sets are P-Bandai. I have 6 HG kits from P-Bandai. I have 6 MG kits from P-Bandai as well. It’s a crazy collection.

Which hobby store you go to? I recently found out we’re somewhat in the same local area (SW Ohio,Cincy area)and I rather support a local hobby store than order gunpla online if possible.

Eh, that's not so bad. We've got about 130~ in our combined backlog between the two of us. It could be so much worse if we didn't limit ourselves to universal century units.
