Some guy did 8 thumbs down because he has accused me of using Auto-Tune, many times. I did write 5 things on here explaining how that was simply impossible due to the 4 microphones in the room. I never heard back, so I deleted the post on here. So, I'd just like to thank the people who have watched this and made their own comment, which is the same : Just because someone can sing in tune and play in time doesn't mean they are using Auto-Tune or Extensive editing. It simply means they've worked hard in a day and age where technology has grown so exponentially that people now EXPECT that if something is good, some plug-in must have done the work for them. Thanks to anybody on here who knows that. Also to all of my subscribers. You must certainly understand that, too, so I very much appeciate it.

I've been working on it, and asking people for requests... it's why I did THE GRUDGE... so, my pick is, in no particular order:: The REASON I've chosen these songs - is not only because they have a lyrical theme that makes me want to be such a better individual and have direct relevance due to my life's experience, but the other 3/4ths (sometimes 4/5ths) of the music represent exactly what the song's messages convey. HERE is my LIST: 1. GRUDGE (played for 21 years 2. THE PATIENT (played for 21 years) 3. JIMMY (played for 25 years) 4. REFLECTION (down a key) 5. PUSHit (played it for 25 years) 6. THE POT (done) 7. OPIATE (done) 8. VICARIOUS (done) 9. STINKfiS (done) 10. FEAR INOCULUM ( nearly finished practicing that one) ANYONE have any requests for ACOUSTIC versions with proper recording (and better video than GRUDGE), LET ME KNOW!!!

oh and "ORESTES" by APC... played that one for 2 decades... it has a significance to me. if anyone looks up ORESTES on wikipedia. it makes a lot of sense. the "metaphor" for the direct meaning of the song.. and "a perfect circle)

Hey man, some guy did a thumbs down because he accused me of using Auto-Tune. He was obviously oblivious to the following facts: A) I don't use Auto-Tune unless I'm recording someone who NEEDS it. B) There are 4 microphones and a DI'd guitar signal. I also have a BOSS chorus pedal on the ground. C) The AKG 414 microphone is set to the far opposite corner of the room with a noise gate and only turns on when i reach a certain velocity. D) ANY sound engineer would know that having my Vocal Mic (RODE K2) on autotune would TOTALLY ruin the guitar sound because of audio bleeding into it. You can't AUTOTUNE an acoustic and vocal at the same time!! Lastly, E) How the hell am I using Auto-Tune, when anyone can hear that my notes are (by a few cents) out of tune, but for the most part, hate to say it, NATURALLY more in tune than the original? 40 years of professional singing kind of um... makes you... uh... GOOD? its true, but I say it with an absolute humble, matter-of-fact way. Thank you to all those who read that person's nonsense, who has also been stalking and harassing my father's legacy across numerous sites and started calling my mother and leaving horrible messages. SHAWN, or SEAN, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME. I'm simply setting the record straight for the people who actually appreciate my video. So thank you to all of you who do!!😀😀😀😀😀

@ Hi John, yes. Line 6 make some excellent stuff, some of which I have bought, some of which I've produced entire records with, using the band members' other models of Line 6 equipment/software... Always reliable and well built. Behringer attempted at making similar stuff, but failed, for the most part, minus only a FEW (now ancient) artifacts that some of my recording clients used. Speaking of which, I have an old ROLAND VS-1680... those 16 track removable hard drive things from 1998, I think.... For that period in time, the guitar sounds/amp modules were amazing, and comparable to what Line 6 had at the time or shortly after... COSM emulation. And to this day, not many popular VST plugins are much better. A few great ones when you know where to look. Oh, and funnily enough, I still use that VS1680 thing as part of my studio for restorations/other purposes, 20 years later. It even has a surround sound plugin (haha)

Thanks to everyone. I love the fact that you noticed some "nuances".. I couldn't remember the entire song, so I just made up the last third of it. It sounds better than my Vicarious cover, which was on a camera. This one, I had 5 mics placed everywhere.....and NO auto tune.. distance on one condenser gives a chorus type effect though.

Oh, and I don't know why the guitar and bass together seemed easy to play.. there are so many others that are SO much more difficult. It's some weird ambidexterity I have. I just let it flow naturally and see if it works. If not, I just forget about it, or keep practicing until it DOES become like 2nd nature. and NO, there is no AUTO-tune like a few people suggested. NONE. I hate that crap.

Hey man, some guy did a thumbs down because he accused me of using Auto-Tune, many times. I did write 5 things on here explaining how that's impossible and didn't hear back, so I deleted the post on here. So, I'd just like to thank the people who have watched this and made their own comment, which is the same : Just because someone can sing in tune and play in time doesn't mean they are using Auto-Tune or Extensive editing. It simply means they've worked hard in a day and age where technology has grown so exponentially that people now EXPECT that if something is good, some plug-in must have done the work. Thanks to anybody on here who knows that. Also to all of my subscribers. You must certainly understand that, too.

It is a shame that as of this age of technicological advancement (which is increasing so exponentially) that people just assume that if a singer is in tune, they must be using Auto-Tune or some other vocal enhancer. And you're right, you can't blame someone for thinking that, because it's just so commonplace now. I'm just blessed with musical genes on mother's and father's families, going back many generations when recording equipment didn't even exist.. So I appreciate your comment, Koko. Thanks.

See, I come from a family of musical geniuses who exposed me, as a child, to great music. So I've worked hard to be a good musician, and I very much appreciate your comment. Wow... Tab.. Hmm... where would I post it? It's that hybrid picking technique (pick+3 or 4 fingers)...technically, it's both bass and guitar line simultaneously. Ultimate guitar.com has both, so it's just a matter of combining them. Tricky though. There are bits I unknowingly played differently in the moment, but not many.

It's cool because I was using a friend's amp he had just bought and a new camera, and enabled it to delay for a LONG time, in this case 3 bars of 4, 1 bar of 3, 2 bars of 4, and repeated what I played, hit the button, then soloed over it for 8 or 10 times. jeez Layne's high falsetto notes are difficult!!
