This guy should have at least a half million followers of the Yankee fans. Bravo.

Great video! And I’m a Tigers fan who always had great respect for the Yankees and George Steinbrenner, down to the dress code that has since been abandoned under Hal, no last names on the jerseys, I know George is rolling over in his grave at the Starr Insurance advertisement on the iconic pinstripes, and I love the new Yankee Stadium how they took the tradition from the the previous and implemented into the new, something my Tigers did the complete opposite of when leaving Tiger Stadium, instead we play in a more modernized version of the White Sox Guaranteed Rate Field. Even the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington they played in from 1994-2019 modeled their right field after Tiger Stadium, something our previous owner Mike Ilitch who bought the team in 1992 did none of. Now Mike Ilitch started spending after the Tigers lost a then AL record 119 losses in 2003, from 2004 until his passing in 2017 the Tigers opperated like the Midwest version of the Yankees, Red Sox with payroll, since Mike’s passing in 2017, his son Chris has done the opposite, why despite the team making a miracle postseason appearance, their first in a decade, was hard to buy in, I detest Chris Ilitch the way you do Hal Steinbrenner. I also stopped attending games after 2022, from 1990-2022, with exception of 2020 I covid, I attended at least one Tigers game, many years, several games, and always watch them on tv. Principle is why I stop going in 2023, though you gave me a good idea in going to a Tigers game on the road, as you watch the Yankees in person, just no longer at Yankee Stadium, I too love baseball, by far my favorite sport. I remember those Yankee teams of the mid to late 90s, early 00s when they 3 peat, won 4 in 5 seasons, they were a true definition of a team. When my Tigers beat the Yankees in playoffs in 2006, 2011 and 2012, fans here acted like we won the World Series, that is the kind of respect the Yankees had, personally I view our now 40 year World Series drought (1984) longest in franchise history and 1-8 record in our two trips since (2006, 2012) as a complete failure. Unfortunately fans here don’t hold the team to the same standard and seems like Yankee fans with exception of fans like yourself, are doing the same. 15 years is a long time for Yankees not to win a World Series, for the most successful franchise in North American professional sports. I too am shocked from afar that Cashman, Boone continue the status quo. This World Series was embarrassing, reminded me of how embarrassing my Tigers were in the 2006, 2012 World Series. Never understood why Joe Girardi was let go especially after he led them through their retool and to the ALCS where they lost a questionable series to say the least to the Astros. Also amazing how things have flipped with Red Sox rivalry, used think Red Sox were clowns to even consider themselves a rival of the Yankees, a team with most World Series and League Championships. Then in 2004 after the 3-0 comeback things have flipped, with Red Sox winning 4 World Series Championships to the Yankees one, and defeating them in their only playoff rematch since 2004. The Yankees will always be the Yankees far as championships, it’ll take a century for a team to maybe even contend for that crown, however in the here and now, this century, the last 20 years.

Newsflash: Einstein never said "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity." Einstein never said that. I don't know who said it, but it's the dumbest, overused cliche in the history of sports commentary, and it doesn't even make any sense.

What's wrong with the Yankees? Here's reality: their fans! It's the only fanbase in the game that knows so little about the game yet they believe they're entitled to win a WS every other year because '27 WS rings' that ironically were won before the vast majority of the fan base was born. It's a completely unreasonable demand of any front running fan base to demand and expect of any MLB team. This video is exhibit A in that, it's completely obnoxious and delusional.

Yankee fans don't feel "entitled" to a World Series every year, we're holding the organization to the standard the organization tells us to hold them to.
@iamantieverything87Ай бұрын
bingo. this isnt the old days. there's more talent than ever and a more level playing field from the days where the yankees could buy the best players and gather them all in one place. people need to stop living in the past- the yankees are still a near constant post-season presence, which is as good as you can ask a team to be.

So insightful. You really nailed it. The problem with the Yankees and their inability to win the World Series since 2001 is…. The fans. Just go away

@@justadude2800 Not sure why I wrote 2001, but I stand corrected. That said, the fans wanting a championship is not the reason why they haven’t won since 2009.

Trade for any 2 or more of these players. Alec Burleson, Brendan Donavon, Lars Nootbaar and Arenado. All are low k rate hitters and they play solid defense. It's a one stop place to shop to greatly improve the Yanks. I would also consider signing Michael Conforto as well. Check in with the Brewers about Sal Frelick as well to see what it would take to get him. Mike Tauchman would be a cheap option to look into. Stay away from stupid long term contracts (Adames, Bregman, Santander). Lastly fix your minor league system at the moment it's just average. I won't say any of these moves will win you a World Series, but it will improve your chances quite a bit.

Not a NYY fan, long time NYM fan Don't quite understand the level of intense anger In a sense, only two teams "proved" to be superior to NYY The Mets and dudgers And that superiority is based on a miniscule sample of 12 games total 0 and 4 against the Mets 2 and 6 against the dudgers Most fans seem to have the expectation that their team should win the WS in any given year For some fraction of fans to which I refer in previous sentence, anything other than a WS win is considered a failure The simple fact is that in any year, 29 teams will not win the WS Expanding on the previous Including the postseason, the yanks had a WP of 500 or better against 22 teams Cumulative record of 91 and 45 against these 22 Including the postseason, the yanks had a WP of less than 500 against 8 teams 1-2 against ATL, PIT, STL and WAS 0-3 against CIN 5-8 against BAL 2-6 against the dudgers 0-4 against the Mets Cumulative record of 11 and 29 against these 8 So, in summary given that only 2 teams had records exactly 3 games over 500 against the yanks And only 2 others were 4 games (or more) over 500 against the yanks I can't rightfully claim that any team proved superior to the yanks in 2024
@Jose_Hunters_EWF_RemixesАй бұрын
Just noticed: The dudgers outscored the yanks 25 to 24 in the 5 game WS I wouldn't call that a blowout
