When you try to be everything to everyone you often end up being nothing to none. The biggest mistake majority of VC' are doing repeatedly is having a blind trust (and putting other people's money) in inexperienced youngsters that think they know everything already. Although only a tiny percentage of them get lucky and succeed, VC' somehow think they know what they are doing. This is against natural law and this incompetence on both sides is quite astonishing to watch (except if you handed your money to those VCs). Delivery business has no value-added and the bar to enter the business is very low. Despite this VCs somehow think those young people will defy the laws of nature. After 6 years they are still not profitable and have no proprietary technology like Google to distinguish themselves and raise chances. Actually they delegate their whole business model to the low-paid outside delivery staff. They offer delivery service to restaurants and grocery stores, but at the same time, they try to put them out of business by operating their own dark kitchens and dark stores. Priceless business model :)
