"The Handcart Song" - Utah Pioneers' Song [+Lyrics]

"The Handcart Song" was written by church leader John D. T. McAllister in around 1855 to motivate members of the LDS Church in England, Ireland, and across the United States to migrate to Utah. This version was performed by The (Mormon) Tabernacle Choir in 2015, with music arranged by Sam Cardon.
Today is Pioneer Day, an official holiday in Utah commemorating the entry of the first Mormon settlers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.
