Third Edit: Uploaded the newer version with fixed audio sync issues here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2G6aHqIrr2WeNE Also, support my videos by buying me a coffee: www.buymeacoffee.com/LTFITP - Second Edit: I'm reuploading this video (hopefully by Friday) with fixed audio and subtitles! I'll leave this version up and leave a link to the new video and a link in the video itself to the fixed version once it's out. - Edit: The voiceovers keep repeating, which I thought was just an issue in my editor and that you wouldn't be able to hear it once I'd gotten it up here. Sorry, I wish I could go back and fix it but I can't really do a lot about it now! - I'll work on subtitling this if I can! I know the audio is messed up in places, so, sorry about that. I also didn't expect this to go on as long as it has, but it's been an incredible challenge, so hopefully someone out there enjoys it! Also hopefully this doesn't get taken down like my last video, I spent months on and off working on this, so it'd be sad to see it taken down, but I know I don't have control over that. Oh, and the thumbnail's a work in progress.

"have seen enough of this show, but never seen it all" With all due respect that just means you didn't see enough. Sorry. The entire show is a masterpiece and a lot of scenes here are taken out of context. A lot of important monolog and dialog is missing and the background music takes away from the ever haunting sphere you experience when you watch this show. Now OP did a very good job, but it should entice people to watch the whole thing and not take this as a shortcut. Watch it. It's worth the while.

@LeaveTheFutureInThePast2 жыл бұрын
There's a (better) new version of this video on my channel, where the audio is actually in sync. My video editor messed this version up. I think Season 5 started off slow, but I really loved the most recent episode! But I think Moira deserves better, like more storylines of her own unrelated to Luke or June. The actress is really good and really carried her own storylines in the earlier seasons, she deserves the chance to do it again before the show ends with Season 6!
@aval50982 жыл бұрын
@@LeaveTheFutureInThePast hey thanks so much for letting me know. I didn’t even get to finish watching this one but I’m definitely going to check out your other one. I agree with you about Moira. She’s a strong character and I wish we got a little more of her but they spend a lot of time on lingering shots to set the scene and the mood. It does feel slow but my opinion with this show is that there’s often little things happening that don’t seem significant in the moment, but then it all comes together later if you think back to it. I think a lot of it is meant to force you to sit in the tension. We get those intense close ups that a lot of people complain about. People say they’re tired of seeing June staring angrily in to the camera but to me? What’s happened to her is horrible. What’s happened to everyone is horrible. What is *still* happening to her is awful. She still doesn’t have her child and now her child is going to be a wife? Of course she’s angry. She should stay angry. That’s what gives her her fight. “They just don’t quit” sounds about right. The show makes you uncomfortable and then it doesn’t break that tension. I definitely wouldn’t call it an easy watch. I loved the last episode. I think that the relationship between June and Serena is absolutely incredible. It’s crazy to say, but they truly respect each other and know what they’re each capable of. It seems that we’ve seen them warn people around them about the other and no one really takes them seriously. I don’t know how this will play out. I have ideas and all. But you know anything can happen with this show. It sounds so messed up but Serena and June are both incredibly Intelligent and resourceful leaders and they make an amazing team when they’re working together. They always remain this level of hatred for each other that lingers, yet even under different circumstances I don’t really think they’d kill each other. Not just because Serena needed June. And not just because June thought of Serena’s unborn child (which is why people say she didn’t kill her whn she had the chance). They are strong adversaries. I’m sorry for the rant. Just love that we’re seeing this dynamic. Definitely want to hear more of your thoughts if you feel like discussing it.

The whole point of the show is that these women are being abused, and that women in general should not be treated as walking wombs! The show wants people to see that this sort of treatment and any kind of sexism is wrong. Hence all the female protagonists eventually being able to escape their abuse and live free lives.

it is quite sad that with all the material from the different episodes, so much detail of what the women go through, it ends up being reduced to nick or luke, teams and blabla...Really?!!! All that work reduced to this???

For anyone who didn't know, HT the novel was just another future dytopian novel aping off the 1984 date, and using the 1979 Islamic Revolution as its basis, but because she didn't want to get death threats from Cat Stevens like Salmon Rushdie, she aped the story from Judaism about a Handmaid. And the book was kinda forgotten, until the TV show was made and tried to make it out as Christians doing this, when Christianity is inherently separation of church and state. So for all you harpy women craving blood of babies, pushing the right to abortion to the states *IS NOT HANDMAIDS TALE* HT is Islamic sharia masked under a story from Judaism.

If Christianity is separation of church and state as you say, then uh- why is it so prominent in US politics? LMFAO make it make sense, harpy person

@@nadia_h3792 It isn't. If you're talking about abortion, that is literally a grey area as it is undeniable that a human life form with its own DNA is inside the womb. Now you say it's 'religion' that makes people think that's a baby, while YOUR belief system makes it just a clump of cells and its life can be ended unquestionably by the mother at any point. Now the compromise has been for the longest time at the end of the first trimester -- but over the past decade or so, the pro-choice have tried to take all the way, from late term partial birth abortions to trying to make it a federal constitutional right (which it never was, it was just a ruling used as precedence) AND covered as an essential human right with regards to healthcare coverage, including state and federal, which would take taxpayer money (from people who may not support abortion) to fund the activity. So basically the SC just shot that last bit out of the water by putting it back into each state's laws and bills (many of which make exceptions for r-pe and medical conditions btw), and blue states are pretty much ramping up the "come to our clinics!", so it'll be available in places.
