Thanks for mentioning my channel. When I started building the rig back in 2016 I never imagined it would still be an ongoing project nearly 8 years later! Back then I had never soldered a connection, 3D printed or even cut a piece of metal so it really has been a journey of discovery. Liking your content btw, I will remember to check back regularly for all the useful tidbits of information. I also highly recommend DCS: Keybinds Manager. I recently upgraded to a new PC and this neat little program was a life saver for transferring all my saved control bindings to the new system (I have 27 USB peripherals so it would have taken me ages to do this manually).

Totally understand what you mean when you talk about the journey. Here I am about 5-6 years later and like you I've learned all these new hobbies (including podcasting and video creation)...and all I started out doing was wanting to fly the F-18, haha. 27 USB devices is darn impressive. I think I topped out around 16 the last time I checked but I had to re-evaluate the setup because I was having connectivity issues. BIOS update + better, powered USB Hubs to the rescue!

Thanks for coving the F-16 RWR. It is a huge pet peeve of mine. I am skeptical about the Afghanistan map. I am not really interested in it. Seems like DCS might be on break for me because EVERY server will be on Afghanistan after it releases.

Sure thing! It was a very interesting find on your part so I was happy to cover it. Made me go down the rabbit hole of reading up on all the various RWRs (randomly, I think I even found an error in the F/A-18C manual). Totally understand the skepticism about the map. I honestly don't think it will be a major go-to for the MP scene. It's not really a natural setting for Red vs Blue. Perhaps I'm way off-base, but I actually think it could shine for helo-focused gameplay, COIN operations, and for CAS missions. A lot of that depends on ED delivering on their updates to the ground combat engine though, so we'll see. I've got my fingers crossed. It would be nice to have a change-of-pace map.

That USB utility has the potential to be VERY useful. Forwarded it and a link to your KZbin on our squadrons discord. Hope this helps, and you're doin good!

Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm glad you found the tool useful...I was worried I did a terrible job describing it during the recording, haha. That said, I completely agree about it being very useful. I've definitely added it to my list of tools. Thank you for your support of the show and I hope you have a great evening!
