The celtic whistle lifted this up to amazing! It added a depth that surprised me. Before that, it was a typical metal song: great, hardcore voice, ripping guitars, etc.; however, the whistle made it transcend the genre. Thank you!

There were some strong Equilibrium vibes in here :D German epic metal is the real deal \m/ Really amazing job, I absolutely loved it! The cherry on top would have been some growl lead vocals ^^
@Agordas7 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy, glad you love it that much!^^ Equilibrium? Interesting, I thought more of something like Wintersun xD My first version was with growls and grunts as lead vocals but I didn't liked it ;) I've also tried some growls and screams in the uptempo parts but it was too much haha
@AlexLussMusic7 жыл бұрын
I'm curious to know what it sounded like with the growls :) Mostly the uptempo part with the flute made me think of Equilibrium ^^ Anyway you're a german metalhead, you were... born to be epic :D
@Agordas7 жыл бұрын
Ok maybe I will do a version with growls too ;) OK the flute part yeah, now that you mention it ;) but I didn't think of Equilibrium at all when I did the song! Weired! xD "German metalheads are born to be epic" I love that! ;) Wait a moment... "born to be epic" is a song from Equilibrium lol

I am speechless. Like, wow. The voice the sound through my Speakers. I feel this version does the song justice (It has already mentioned before about the Necklace of Hope meant to be Necklace of Rope but otherwise still sounds awesome) I have listened to countless versions of this song. My list of favourites now include this very cover. Only two other versions I enjoy is the original, and the rendition done by another artist. (Don't want to post links or names, cause that'll be rude in my opinion) in any event. Minor carry on with this post, but seriously keep up the work. You did an absolutely amazing job with this.

I think that this is a masterpiece. It is a perfect testament to Jennifer Lawrence and the Hunger Games series. You start out solo, channeling Jennifer Lawrence singing her solo the first time she sings it. Then you have your group performance, channeling the people taking the bombs to the dams. Then... the meat of the song is the explosion scene complete with guitar solos and duets and the flute parts are AWESOME :) Your facial expressions throughout the video perfectly capture the emotional tone of each "version" of the song, from muted at first to intense and defiant at the end. The "COME ON Motherfuckers" perfectly expresses the emotion of the situation as people plant and detonate their bombs, followed up by the the heavy metal flutes. Heavy metal flutes... not phrases that usually go together :) VERY VERY well done. I've listened to this many many times, and thoroughly enjoy it each time :) Thank you.

Cool cover Agordas! I don't know the original version, but honestly I don't think it can get better than this! Superb vocals! So many different colours with your voice. And I am always so surprised at how well you play all the instruments. You are really talented - and obviously hard working! What is the flute you play? I assume the small one is a tin whistle? but I am referring to the longer one! Very bad ass. It reminds me a bit of Eluveitie's style. Well done!
@Agordas7 жыл бұрын
Aww thank you for that compliment, Dirk!^^ Yeah, it's really hard work! Practising, practising and practiSing and maybe a breeze of talent :D But in the end it's worth and always a good feeling that you can play or sing what you couldn't do before. Yes, the small one is a tin whistle and the longer one is called a low whistle. Actually it's also a tin whistle but one octave lower therefore it has to be larger. Yes, Eluveitie also uses Low Whistles, so it spreads the same mood. :)
@dirk.claassen7 жыл бұрын
Oh cool to know! Thank you for your reply Agordas. I really like the sound of the low whistle. I think maybe I want to learn it as well :) If not for for the Eluveitie style playing then to feel like a hobbit :) That said, I have no idea how difficult it would be. I do play violin and keys though... I guess for a metalhead I love an awful lot of 'non-metal' instruments :) But it is awesome. Keep up the fantastic work!
@Agordas7 жыл бұрын
It's never wrong to develop further and learn new instruments, even as a metalhead xD Learning Low Whistle is not that hard... it's just a bit trickier than playing Tin Whistle because the holes are bigger and thus harder to close (you have to use your whole fingers instead of the fingertips... unless you have fat sausage fingers xD). It also could be difficult to coordinate left and right hand together but you can play the keys so it should be no problem for you ;) Go for it and feel like a Hobbit! :D

Also ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich Black Metal Versionen zu solchen Songs immer sehr albern finde! Da wird sich sicher mal wieder ein Song finden wo ich es passender finde. ;)
