My only dislike with this game is if you get touched with a decent combo you get tod'd and you basically have to sit there and watch the other player beat your ass with no chance of recovery at all. You'd think they'd add a breaker system to help with all the broken combos the characters have.

This. I started playing this game after Christmas. A friend got it for me because I love power rangers and I'm admittedly not the best at fighting games, nor do I really try to be. But I've been in enough matches now that make me feel like I shouldn't even bother playing, and that really sucks because I enjoy this game when the fights feel fair. I've had so many matches where I just got up and made a sandwich because I wasn't gonna press a single button. It leaves with a "well, I guess I didn't feel like playing today anyway" feeling, and that makes me concerned for the game's health because I feel like the barrier for entry into online play is too fucking high and there's nothing a player can do if their opponent has years of fighting game experience under their belt or learned how to pull off some crazy shit. And I admit, I like seeing footage of long combos because they're cool to look at. But I feel like if my opponents strategy is to win by making me unable to play, then I should just consider uninstalling because the CPU and training mode can only get me so damn far. Edit: I should mention that I almost exclusively play under the "Casual" option, as I'm a casual, and I can't even escape people doing TODs there. Like, it just leaves an incredibly bitter taste in my mouth when the option that *should* be for me, just isnt.. And there's literally nothing I can do about that. :/

Love that this wonky game actually got played by people. However, it misses something essential, which is the impact of hits, it doesn't feel powerful. This is something that Third Strike did perfectly. That donkey kick feels painful, this one just carries out a function.

@@staticshock4239 MK11 Netcode isn't really that bad. It's loads better than games like DBFZ or Uniclr or SFV. But the matchmaking especially at higher levels of play can be very questionable. But as long as you're playing against someone with a good connection the matches are fine.

@@solemnsovereign758 with Uniclr, the Netcode varies greatly. If you're playing against someone relatively close with a good connection then it isn't all that bad. But if you don't have luck getting those conditions, then you'll notice that even if the game appears to be running smoothly, there's an insane amount of input delay. Sometimes it gets so bad that you'll click a button, and the actual attack won't come out until a second after the initial button press. So you end up having to press the inputs for a combo before you even see anything happen on screen.

Just bought the game last night. Zero clue on how to work characters, just spent a few mins in lab with a team got a combo for each character then went to online. Did a ton of games, only fought 1 guy that was out of my league. Went to ranked, immediately made gold, which the highest rank is plat in this game oddly. So yeah, even though this game is full of tods it's not full of hyper competitive people.
