That they trusted him to perform this song (several times) to the level that it deserved. As stated in an Interview by his Mother (Sveta), it is an honour for Singers to perform this revered Song; as only certain singers are entrusted to Sing this song in China. As an example; Celine Dion was a notable singer that performed this song for the New Year Gala 2013 in China. D Vocaloid refers to the software where lyrics and melodies where input to create a synthesizer vocal. The software can stress of the pronunciations, add effects such a vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. The anime characters is actually a Moe anthropomorphism. However, personally I think nothing can beat real human expression both facial and vocal, and Dimash is a King of those. With amazing high nite F5/A5/G5 for 12 sec, Jasmine is a beautiful song. Dimash is invited every year to sing at the Chinese Spring Festival. They are always spectacular. He does this particular song evert year, and every year is different. Look it up on his site. Find the one with Dimash and Wu Tong. It is a duet and my favorite.

Yes, Dimash pronounces Chinese better and better! He slipped here and there in the early songs, especially for example the word “shi”, which is pronounced just “sh”, without really a vowel sound, he would put in a vowel, resulting in “sher”. But he has worked really hard on perfecting his pronunciation, and in his latest Chinese song, Shared Dreams Across Thousands of Miles, you can not tell he is not Chinese!!! By the way, since you are planning to react to it next, please do watch our (Dimash USA Fan Club) video translation of the discussion with the panel before and after the performance. This was a program where a singer is collaborating with a poet and a songwriter and the team is to take an ancient poem, add to it a modern segment and put the whole thing to music. So the discussion part is very enlightening. Thank you. Chronologically, the duet with Wu Tong (a Grammy Award winner) came first. The band is the Silk Road band, known for incorporating music and instruments from along the Silk Road. This arrangement was so successful that it was used again for the next performances.

Edit: the anime voice is not human voice. It’s actually called vocaloid, a synthesiser program that use computer processing. Basically Dimash still sound better than machine.

You guessed right. The instrument played by Wu tong is called a mouth organ. I think the Chinese mouth organ is called a Sheng....not certain of that, but I think so....
